GIBS Business School Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

There are two GIBS actually where the 1st year the College took it too casually and the second year they came back to old ways where they got back into the act. Initially, I thought the College would have curtains to the inner sanctum pulled tight because of just one industrial visit, only a few workshops and just one annual event. I thought I had come this far only to have a horror time after two years as placements might not be here for real, but luckily, I was wrong. The cracks are there at GIBS, but somehow, they have pulled altogether and ensured that students get complete learning of management studies, and they also get placed by the end. GIBS live and die on the performance of their faculties. Faculties came good at the right time as they were arguably the backbone of GIBS. Some of the other drawbacks are the location, as the College is said to be in Bangalore, but it is in second Bangalore which hardly has anything.Read Full Review

Most B-Schools in Bangalore like Christ University, St. Joseph, ISME, Indus Business Academy, and ABBS to name a few. The one thing common in all is that placements are quite good at these Colleges. Well, my reason for joining GIBS is that I had a very poor percentile in most of the entrances that I gave. I had to look for the Colleges that don't have any such demand, and GIBS was one of those. The contingent of students here was quite interesting because it was difficult to find local students at the campus. Most of the students who joined this College were outsiders. The College is located quite far from central Bangalore and since the travel time and cost of traveling is quite high in Bangalore; I stayed close to the College and hardly moved out of my area. The education and placements have continued to impress even though the last couple of months of our course were online due to Covid. The College arranged placements for maximum students that they can, as the College is quite influential in this regard.Read Full Review

Firstly, the college is little far and one will only see plants around the college. Many new housing societies have come in this area but still the location wise one would feel they are coming to a village. The building and all was new as the college is quite recent but in a short span they have made some excellent industry connects. There are few industries that count on GIBS because they target GIBS students and we were given worksheets as per that. The admission process was simplified as it doesn’t take much to be here. GIBS though is still unknown because many people in Bangalore don't know about the existence of GIBS. If one their vision straight that they just have to get placed than GIBS can definitely help them with that. If you have huge expectation that you will learn something extra, then sorry. If you think, you will have an amazing time at GIBS, again I am sorry. So, you might have to be more sorry but at the end of the day you will be thanking the college for getting you placed in a dream company.Read Full Review
