NIT AGARTALA OVERALL REVIEW

Overall Rating
NIT Agartala is a decent institute. If you have circuital branches then it's good institute. The average placement is 70-80% with median salary of 7.5 LPA across all branches. Infrastructure and faculty of institute is good nothing to complain about. It also has various MoUs with IITs, foreign universities, etc.
 

Academics Rating
Since all you know admission in this institute is done through JEE Mains. In this institute, there is no issue of attendance for CSE branch but in other branches 75% attendance is must for writing the examination. Teachers have decent knowledge apart from Ph.D scholars who are not that good just okay. In First Year, they teach as well and some of them are decent and some are not enough. Overall, academics of institute are good from 2nd year onwards.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties have great knowledge, even many of them have written their research paper also and have attended conferences also, for your reference you can check on NIT Agartala website. They are supportive and always ready to help if you also want to study. But first step is to be taken by you I think you understand what I mean. Come here, attain knowledge, learn new things and move forward in life.
 

Placement Rating
Placement wise institute is decent you can say. As 7.5 LPA is median across all branches. There is a dedicated Placement Cell that is Centre for Career Development (CCD) which works with all their efforts. Mostly all companies are open for circuital branches that are up to EE, ECE, and EI. Yes, there are companies that open only for CSE but the number of such companies is pretty less. In 2023, average package of CSE is 16 LPA with highest of 43.84 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
In first year and third year RNT HOSTEL is allotted. The infrastructure of hostel is good, with lifts, water coolers, etc. In each room there are two persons, the size of room is ok. For 2nd year and 4th year, Aryabhata hostel is allotted that is also good but not like RNT as the latter one is newer. Cleanliness is maintained in the hostel too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The institute has decent infrastructure with auditorium, sports complex, shopping complex, etc. The building of CSE, ECE, EI, and EE is good but of all other branches are not that good. They are just okay. Hostels are good, there is 24×7 health facilities are available in the institute that is good thing and for serious health issues, they have some tie up with other private hospital (good) in Agartala. Overall, infrastructure of this institute is pretty good.
 

Campus Rating
The campus of institute is nice. The closing time for girl’s hostel is 6.30 PM and for boys it is 10 PM, but boys even reside outside for more time you know what I mean. There is no as such ragging in the institute, just introduction is done by seniors to freshers. If you would stay calm no one will disturb you. The only thing they ask is respect the seniors that's all nothing else. Apart from this, institute is very good with it's wonderful climate, with less pollution, park, gym facilities, etc.

    The exposure of the Institute is quite appreciable. It has various clubs for the upliftment of the student. Since it is a Institute of national importance so students come from almost every corner of the country and one gets an opportunity to learn something from every culture of India.     NIT-A is one of the top NITs in North-East India. It is situated in Agartala, which is the capital of Tripura state. I have joined it in 2024 through JoSAA. Until now, my experience with this institute is great. Apart from studies, you get a good exposure of clubs, sports and of course the beauty of nature.
