All about Delhi Technological University

Overall Rating
Delhi Technological University is first engineering college of Delhi. It has been established in 1941. It is one of the best engineering colleges of Delhi. DTU got the NIRF ranking 29 in 2023. It provides admissions to the students on basis of JEE mains and by the JAC Delhi counseling. 85 percent seats are reserved for Delhi candidates.
 

Academics Rating
Delhi Technological University is specifically famous for its core branches but the tech branches are also very good. Delhi Technological University takes admission on the basis of JEE mains. You have to score good percentile in JEE mains and 60 percentages in Physics, Chemistry and Math in class 12. College has good research opportunities and exposure for students too.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are good. Professor is experienced and they have published research papers also. They have really good knowledge about their fields. They focus on technical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge. But some professors are strict and are focused towards 75 percent attendance criteria and assignments. If you are focused in the classroom than you can easily score good marks in exam.
 

Placement Rating
Delhi Technological University has their placement cell. DTU placement stats are fabulous. All the sincere students get placed easily. The average package of tech branches is above 20 lakh and for core branches it is about 15 lakh. The highest package is 1 crore plus.
 

Hostel Rating
In first year hostels are provided to the outside students only. After first year Delhi students can also get hostels. Hostels are decent. In first year you have to share the room and after first year you get separate rooms. Hostels do not have too good infrastructure. But both AC and non AC rooms are available here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Delhi Technological University has 165 acres of beautiful campus. University has a green campus. Campus has all facilities like sports, huge library, canteens, café, hostel, mess, and more. Campus has well maintained departments. For every branch there is a separate department. All classrooms and labs in department are fully air conditioned.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life in Delhi Technological University is awesome. DTU has many societies, you can join a society of your interest like dance, singing, photography and many more. DTU college fest named as Engifest is one of the biggest college cultural fest in North India. Engifest is of three days which is very enjoyable many artists come and perform.

    DTU New Delhi has its branch as earlier the University was known for Engineering and not it offers various other courses as well. The students pursuing UG program get a lot of new insights.     Choosing University was not my first choice. I always wanted to study in Delhi University but entering the gates of this University changed my life so much. Life at this University is full of academic challenges but it also has great people. Every University has its pros and cons but it only makes you a better person for future.     I started studying at Delhi Technological University in the session 2024 and so far the experience has been good. The people have been great and administrative faculty has been helpful too. We can also ask our seniors for notes and they at times also help me with my doubts, they are very cooperative.     Overall, this University is a great choice for students if they want to pursue courses like BBA, Economics honors or even Masters in economics. The curriculum is well rounded, making sure the students have all the required knowledge.
