Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering B.Tech Review By Gaurav Balapur

PCCoE NIRF ranked 197th in India among the best engineering colleges. According to the Times Survey, it ranks 21st in the list of top private engineering colleges. The Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust manages the college with tremendous efforts and discipline. PCCoE Admission process is online. Students need to crack the JEE or CET examinations for getting a seat in Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering. I had secured a decent score in CET and thus I got a seat in this college. Overall this college is extremely good for studying engineering if you want to pursue your studies in Pune.

I opted for Electronics and telecommunication engineering which was said to be the best stream of engineering of all time. I was passionate about doing engineering and so it did not matter which course it was. I was only keen on getting into a good college which could inculcate the best teachings of the subjects. PCCoE did not disappoint me, as the subjects were taught with great interest and high quality of education was imparted to us. I got a high paying job after studying engineering in this college. The classroom training given to the students was excellent so much so that students loved attending the lectures.

The average experience of the faculty of this college was around 12+ years. Our faculty had sound knowledge of the subjects they taught. They were good at their academics too. Overall they had good teaching skills which helped me understand the subjects well. I attended almost all the lectures which helped me study my subjects efficiently.

I take pride in saying that the placements of my college were one of the best in Maharashtra. The training and the placement cell of PCCoE was the best. Their training officer was absolutely good at his work and cooperated well with the students. The coordination of the placement cell and the academic cell was very good. Around 80 to 90 percent of the students got placed through the campus placements. I also got into one of the top IT companies. No doubt the college had done some good which helped me bag a high paying job. I’ve switched jobs and am earning far from my expectations.

I had migrated from Chandrapur to Pune to pursue my Engineering degree. I was excited when I got to know that this college had a hostel facility. Staying inside the campus of the college was the best thing for an engineering college. I enjoyed PCCoE Hostel life with my roommates who are now my best buddies. The best thing was the food too was good and we did not have to go in search of food outside the college campus.

PCCoE Campus was built in a large space with a lot of greenery around it. This one thing made me fall in love with the college as the climate was cool throughout the year. The classrooms, labs, auditoriums are very well constructed. I studied in the college library and had access to almost all the engineering books and reference books.

As I lived in the campus for four years of the degree course, I loved my campus life. We celebrated all the festivals and events on a large scale. I was not that active in the committee but enjoyed as an onlooker. I am happy that I made some friends who are now for a lifetime.
