NIT Srinagar - My Review

Overall Rating
The college is situated in the Srinagar valley of Jammu and Kashmir; The view is gorgeous from the campus. I chose this institute as I was getting computer science and engineering in this particular college. We have a lot of facilities provided inside the campus. However, I would not suggest opting this college if you are getting branches like civil metallurgy or chemical.
 

Academics Rating
One can get into this college through JOSAA counselling on the result of JEE mains examinations. The curriculum of the college is quite good, exams are taken on an interval of 3 months, i.e. after the start of the semester, mid semester exams are taken after 3 months and then after the next 3 months end semester exams are taken.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of our college are very nice in nature, they are very helping too. All the faculties are well qualified. All the faculties belong to good backgrounds. Everyone is comfortable with the smart boards and ppt method of teaching in the classrooms. Each one of them has great understanding of their respective subjects. They are always ready to help with any kind of doubt, project or any type of assistance.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a Placement Cell and it helps students to grab a descent package on completion of the degree. Talking about the B.Tech batch 2023 the placements were too good. The average package of my branch CSE was approx. 13 LPA. The placements of 2024 batch are still going, and the highest package of my department is about 39 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Residential facilities are provided at out college, there are 9 hostels in total out of which 3 are for girls and 6 are for the boys. For the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year currently the hostels are of 5 sharing, but there is a construction work going on for mega boys’ hostel which will be having a capacity of 1000 students. 24x7 Wi-Fi, water, and electricity supply is provided to the residents.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus contains well furnished and well equipped classrooms, labs, recreation area, etc. As the buildings are quite old hence the maximum height is of 3 floors only. A large area is allocated for sports purposes which consist of courts like basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton, football, etc. The college also has a small gym inside the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus is life is chilled. The institute organises 2 annual fest out of which one is technical and other one is cultural. There are approximately 80 students in each branch so the college is not so crowded, there are a lot of clubs in our college like soapbox that organises a lot of cultural events, technology club that organises technical events, etc.

    I am second year student of National Institute of Technology Srinagar. My specialisation is Computer Science. My overall experience is very good. I am really happy to after getting into this college. Initially my plan was not sure for this particular college. Because during JEE preparation I was focusing only on exam. But after result.     Overall Rating
    It's one of the most beautiful campuses in India. It lies near Dal lake which gives an astonishing view through the year. The morning view from the campus feels like magical as there are mountains and when sun rises between them.     NIT Srinagar campus is breathtaking, one who is fond of nature and mountains must come, academics are good and placement is average. The college has many clubs and events are organised and is situated at Dal Lake. The college has NIRF ranking of 66 and improving year by year and is one of the oldest NITs in India....   • Professors and Placements in NIT Srinagar
     

    Overall Rating
    Talking about academics, that is very good here and professors are highly qualified and experienced. Especially of Civil Department. If I talk about placements, they are very good here especially for Computer Science Engineering. Highest package of CSE is 44 LPA.
