NIT Srinagar has breathtaking campus

Overall Rating
NIT Srinagar campus is breathtaking, one who is fond of nature and mountains must come, academics are good and placement is average. The college has many clubs and events are organised and is situated at Dal Lake. The college has NIRF ranking of 66 and improving year by year and is one of the oldest NITs in India.
 

Academics Rating
At NIT Srinagar academics are far better and faculty is much qualified and academic calendar is followed strictly and exams are done strictly as per deadline. Syllabus is completed as per deadline and papers are bit tough. Syllabus and curriculum is as per standards and students are advised for skill development and workshops are conducted to make students job ready.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is well qualified, one can say everyone has done PhD from IITs and foreign universities and are good at teaching. Professors are good and are helpful in every case of academics. Each faculty member has good teaching style and keenly observes each and every student and advises them wherever necessary.
 

Placement Rating
Placement here is average and is high in CSE and IT branches and goes up to 75% in these branches and highest package is 40 LPA. In other branches the placement percentage is 45% to 50%.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good and mega hostel is currently under construction and food quality in mess is also good. Mess and hostel fee/semester is Rs. 28,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As NIT Srinagar is old NIT some of the blocks are old and even some labs are also old but new labs of CSE and IT are good and main faculty block is good and construction of Auditorium is going on. Overall infrastructure is good and is being renovated and developed. Classrooms are better; they are equipped with Smart boards and ACs.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good as people are interested in new culture and lifestyle there with picturesque mountains and lakes. Fests and events are frequently organised like AAMAD, TECHVAGANZA and college has many clubs like HULT PRIZE, SYNDICATE etc. Also workshops are conducted there to engage students etc.

    I am second year student of National Institute of Technology Srinagar. My specialisation is Computer Science. My overall experience is very good. I am really happy to after getting into this college. Initially my plan was not sure for this particular college. Because during JEE preparation I was focusing only on exam. But after result.     Overall Rating
    It's one of the most beautiful campuses in India. It lies near Dal lake which gives an astonishing view through the year. The morning view from the campus feels like magical as there are mountains and when sun rises between them.     Overall Rating
    The college is situated in the Srinagar valley of Jammu and Kashmir; The view is gorgeous from the campus. I chose this institute as I was getting computer science and engineering in this particular college. We have a lot of facilities provided inside the campus.     Overall Rating
    Talking about academics, that is very good here and professors are highly qualified and experienced. Especially of Civil Department. If I talk about placements, they are very good here especially for Computer Science Engineering. Highest package of CSE is 44 LPA.
