Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee

Overall Rating
The institute is amazing with an area of about 350 acres and a large number of facilities and sports. It has a good environment and offers good placement. It is one of the top Institutes in India and is highly recognised. The location of the institute is also good as it is surrounded by spiritual places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, and also places to visit like Manali and Shimla.
 

Academics Rating
Only those person can study here who have cleared JEE Advance and for male general they can get admission up to 12500 rank. For computer science branches you need under 500. This is one of the oldest colleges in India with amazing infrastructure and area. It has wide variety of courses which students can opt for according to their choice.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in the college is diversified. They are patient and help students when needed. They are understanding but sometimes can be a bit harsh during grading and marking. Overall they are highly knowledgeable and are doing great research in their respective fields and also give students opportunity to work with them.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell which has a great network among the top companies like Google, Microsoft, and many more. It helps us make our resume better and gets our project verified.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have 7 hostels and each of them is amazing with various activities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The lecture halls are well furnished and have air conditioners so students don't have to sweat in summer and can concentrate well. They are spacious and elevated to ensure students can see blackboard. The academic building is very popular and is so famous that many actors have come here for shooting.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is amazing here as they are many activities going on. The clubs here organise various activities and some take students to visit places. There are two fests which are crowded with many people across India. Several students visit our fest and experience events like pronite in which various celebrities come.

    IIT Roorkee is India's premier institute for education. My experience is very good. You met people from different background and learn a lot about other's cultures.     I feel Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is good and I don't have any disappointing issues with it. I feel like most of the facilities are available in the institute. We have gym, ground, temple, canteens and many more so that we spend our time in learning anything in the institute and also we have a library where it is very peaceful to study.     The campus is excellent in terms of infrastructure, academics, environment and overall facilities. It is the oldest engineering institute in Asia with a legacy of more than 175 years.
