IIT Roorkee Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The campus of IIT Roorkee is spread over 350 acres. Most of the buildings are equipped with elevators. The campus as lecture halls, libraries, canteens, etc. All of these are well equipped with AC facilities. The campus also has Café Coffee Day (CCD). The Institute has sports facilities and swimming pool as well. The main auditorium has a capacity of 4,480 people. Overall, the infrastructure of this Institute is great.

The campus life so far has been great. The crowd is also good, goal oriented, and focused. There are multiple clubs such as Cultural club, Technical club, etc. Two fests are conducted every year by the Institute called Thomso and Cognizance. Various people attend fests and enjoy them. IIT Roorkee is an old Institutions but it is well equipped with modern amenities. The Institution has classrooms, labs, seminar rooms, and auditorium which are well equipped with projectors, air conditioners, etc. Overall the infrastructure is top notch.

If you are passionate about something you will surely get it here, whether it is sports such as cricket, etc. The Institutes has all the resources for all of them. The Institute has various clubs which will provide you a great exposure. They organise cultural fest called Thomso and Cognizance. They also conduct sports fest called Sangram where several sports enthusiasts participate. At the end of the day when I look back at my preparation days. There are 2 main academic building blocks in IIT Roorkee. Gargi block and Apartment block. There is enormous structure. Classes are run there very smoothly. Campus size is 360 acres so it is very big. It is located in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. Roorkee is a town mad you can get all your requirement things there in Town. Seating capacity is of 400 students and classes are organized in batches so students can easily sit in the classrooms. Yes, there are speakers and projector in each classes, there are some classes, which have even smart board. All academic facilities mentioned in question are in institute. We have a big library. There are 2 canteens in each hostel. We have an institution hospital. Security guards are available at each hotel's entrance. We have cycle and e rickshaw for transport within campus. My favorite place is sport ground named LBS, it is close to my heart. We have labs and instruments centre. We have also super computer in our institute. These things helped us in our course

My overall institute experience is excellent. I cannot imagine better campus life than this. Institute crowd is inspiration and hard working. There are almost daily events and workshop, which help you in chasing your passion. There are multiple clubs. One senior famously said that there was nothing whose club does not exist and there is no club whose field or scope does not exist. I am in sports club and helps in organizing sports tournaments in institute. There are many workshops and events organized by institute and clubs. We have Thomso as our culture fest, which is north India's biggest cultural fest. We have cognizance as technical fest. My overall institute experience is amazing and fabulous. It has made my life.
