Overall Rating
MIT Manipal has a wide variety of student projects and clubs which are very active and help in gaining skills. You also get a free Coursera subscription which is an added benefit. The opportunities and possibilities are endless at MIT Manipal. Despite it having the party college tag, it is a really wonderful college where you can meet a wide variety of people. I mainly chose this college for the student projects and opportunities.
 

Academics Rating
In order to take admission, you will need to give MET entrance exam. It is conducted 2 times a year and you get a rank based on your performance. Eligibility required is 50% in PCB in any board. You will get admission based on your rank and that course's specific rank cutoff just like JEE. This year onwards, your board marks will also be criteria for MET rank as it holds 50% weightage.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers here are all Ph.D holders and have a minimum of 15 years of experience. We have faculty from IITs and NITs as well who teach in various departments. As for the teaching styles, honestly every teacher has his/her own way but all of them are very helpful and will clarify your doubts no matter what. You can meet them anytime during 8 AM to 6 PM.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have our own Placement Cell and they are very helpful since they have helped many students find internships in their 3rd year and also helped 4th year students get placed through campus placements. Our highest CTC was given by Amazon with a 54 LPA package.
 

Hostel Rating
We have so many hostels in our campus. Freshers get separate buildings in order to prevent ragging. The hostels are all managed by Zolo, which is a private company who handle the housekeeping and any issues regarding hostels. We have basketball courts, football pitch, athletic ground, hockey ground, tennis, and badminton courts too. We have every kind of activity you can imagine. Additionally, we have one of India’s largest recreational centres indoor.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 5 academic blocks with each block housing different branches. All of these blocks house state of the art labs and equipment for research purposes. They are very open and easily accessible for everyone. You can also help the professors as a research assistant which will help your resume. All the blocks are spacious and air-conditioned and have projectors.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, MIT Manipal is a very happy place as it's surrounded by scenic beauty. You can do everything from kayaking to trekking. Clubs and parties are nothing new. If you are a more of an outdoor and adventurous person, then we have numerous clubs which go on trips every week to explore the scenic nature.

    My experience at MIT Manipal has been quite good overall. It may not be perfect, but it is a solid balance between academics and student life. A typical day for me includes attending classes, going to the gym, studying a bit, hanging out with friends over dinner, and taking a walk around campus, which is one of the most peaceful things to do here in my opinion.     I was bit hesitant to join this institute but my opinion changed completely after joining it. The faculty is amazing and solves our doubts without hesitation. The infrastructure of institute is just phenomenal. It has an indoor arena, which has excellent facilities. The research facility is also best.
