First of all, faculties of college are well educated and their behavior is friendly. They help us in every case. Fee of college has increased, but still it is less than other private colleges. The placement rates are well. The campus is ragging free, seniors are mostly friendly. The overall experience is good till now.

I'm enrolled in B.Tech or bachelor of technology currently in information technology. To take admission in any engineering college we've to mandatorily give entrance exams like JEE mains (all India) and WBJEE (for colleges of West Bengal). To enroll in branches like computer science engineering or information technology, you've to at least keep your WBJEE rank below 25k. Other needed documents are mentioned separately on the college website for admission purposes. You 12th marks needs to be at least 60 percent aggregate.

One of the positive aspects of this college is their faculty. The faculty members are well educated; most of them hold Ph.D degree. They are mostly friendly and helpful to us students; they help us with notes and other materials. The laboratory staff is also humble and efficient in their work.

The placement rates these days are really facing downfall. In our college it's also not of excellence level but yes, comparatively better than other private colleges of same or higher fee structure. The placement is of course available, several seminars, webinars, workshops often happen in our college. Internships are also available (paid/unpaid).

Yes, we've a hostel in tie up with the college, outside the campus though. The current charges per month are not less but still affordable. Food quality was good in the beginning which has gradually decreased by now. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel.

B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology barely has any campus. Here, campus means three buildings only, namely block A, block B, and block C. Block A is solely for all the admins/ freshers, the student affair cell, account cell, reception, etc. are also situated there. On the other hand, B block is for ECE and Electrical department, and C block is for CSE, IT, and MCA department.

If you're expecting a really large campus with game courts, café, etc. then I'm really sorry to break the dream because the campus is nothing like that. As mentioned before, the campus is barely three buildings. No space for outdoor games. Though there are tie up grounds where annual cricket, football tournaments, etc. happen. There is girls' common room, activity room, boys’ common room, etc. where you can spend free time or bunk classes. Central library is also there, it is spacious and strictly quite. There are several clubs for different activities, tech fest happens annually and cultural fests happen once in four years.
