IIIT ALLAHABAD overall review from 1st year to final year

Overall Rating
So. Let’s start with my aim to join this institute. IIIT Allahabad is a tier 1 college with placements stats as equal to top IIT and IIIT. My overall experience till now is that it had a pretty hectic schedule in context of academics and the culture of heavy competitive coding ads more on top of that. The best part of my college is this coding culture as it plays an important role in placements and most of us join this college for placements. I would recommend others this college because of this same competitive coding culture which is what even some IIT"s lack.
 

Academics Rating
So. My course is Bachelor in Engineering. The eligibility is to secure good rank in JEE mains. It has 3 courses Information Technology, Information Technology with Business Informatics and ECR. The Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks for B.Tech IT stood at 8933 and 10101. I enrolled in Information Technology with Business Informatics. My motive for this program was that it also offers some business related courses in addition with courses with Information Technology.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties have much expertise in their field and come from a very good background as an example the professor. The style of teaching may differ from professor to professor as one could teach from slides and one can teach from white board.
 

Placement Rating
Yes. MY college have placement stats as equal to an IIT let me list last year stats keeping in mind that it was top recession. In IT out of 223 all were placed were placed with average package 26.17 lacs. My college gets visited by top companies like Amazon, Google, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes. We have basically 5 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. Hostel offers mess too with living facility and hostels room are easily available for all students. In hostels we also have badminton courts. However the quality of food in mess is not special.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus has 3 Computers centers for academic activities that consist of labs and lecture rooms. We have a separate building for library and 2 connected buildings for administrative activities. Campus also consists of a football and cricket group and also a basketball court. Also the indoor games are available in a separate building with air conditioning facility and table tennis etc. It also has a Nescafe and Amul franchise.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life in my college is moderate as it is pretty much secluded from main Allahabad. So for every party we have to travel 8km to just enter in main zone of Allahabad. My college has many clubs like genetic (dance); nirmiti (art), singing and drama. We have 3 fests in a year one cultural one technical and one sports fest. Also there is a lot of sports matches of faculty vs. students.
