Overall Rating
I hated the strictness in our college when I first came in, but now I have realised that it is only pushing me to be a better version of myself, to get better at what I do. Choosing LSR over other DU colleges wasn't a tough decision for me because very few colleges offer Psychology. Here, you will not only excel academically, but in a lot other areas as well through participation in societies.
 

Academics Rating
The college is really strict about the academic performance of their students. Around 67% attendance rule is strictly followed (majority of the people come for classes on a daily basis). The environment over here is such that you will push yourself to do your best academically. Very few classes are cancelled and the professors try their best to complete the syllabus on time.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty in LSR is very dedicated and strict towards the academic aspect of a student's life. They rarely miss any of their classes and even if they do sometimes, they make sure to take extra classes (If you are planning to come here, be ready for a lot of extra classes).
 

Placement Rating
We do have an active placement cell at our institute. They often keep sharing about the various internship and placement opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
Residential Facilities are available at our institute but it was not available for our batch as some renovation was going on. Therefore, I don’t know much about it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is nice, especially the new building. The rooms are spacious with proper ventilation. Though, there are some rooms in the old building that are small. The institute also has labs for a few departments. The library is well furnished, it not only provides you books, but also the right environment required for a study session.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience at LSR has been good. You find people from various backgrounds, engaging themselves in various fields, which ultimately make you move out of your comfort zone and engage in various activities organized by various societies and departments. The college organises various events apart from the Annual Fest (which in itself is such a wholesome experience) including NOOR, the Diwali Mela organised by NSS along with Bahubhashi event, which promotes various cultures.

  • BA Journalism at LSR Delhi: Admission, Faculty, and Facilities

    The course I chosen is Journalism because I wish to pursue a career in editorial or PR in the future. To get admission in BA (Hons.) Journalism, you need to qualify CUET exam. The first round cutoff for this year was 770/800. For CUET, there are two available subject combinations to qualify. Any 3 subjects that are in list B and that you’ve studied in class 12th plus English, or general test & English. The admission process is quite simple and it’s online.     Before coming here, I was so skeptical whether I would find any genuine person or girls would be toxic, but to my surprise everything is so nice here, the people, the environment, the work culture, infrastructure everything.     I loved my experience in this college. Being a first year student pursuing Economic (Hons.), I think the glorified picture of Lady Shri Ram College pictured outside DU, is indeed true. Particularly for economics, this is genuinely the best college. I have gained both knowledge and confidence here. The campus itself is very beautiful with lush green lawns the iconic red brick architecture of DU. There are many societies here, covering everything a student may be interested in.
