This institute is regarded as the most acclaimed institute around the world on Marine Engineering for its discipline, dedication and placement record. The curriculum is well structured with respect to the course (marine engineering) supported by the experienced faculties. The practical training that this institute provides through workshops and labs are very beneficial for the cadets. Major shipping companies like Chevron, Synergy, Fleet Management, Thome, etc. come here for recruitment. Not only academics, but institute also has various clubs and associations for enhancing cadet’s experience. Also, offers different sports and physical activities to maintain cadet's physical strength.

The B.Tech curriculum is in compliance with the DGS/IMO. Although, the syllabus provides knowledge in almost all aspects like electrical, electronic and mechanical which are necessary for not only the cadets who will choose shipping only after the graduation but also for the cadets who are interested in other stream like research. Also, the syllabus focuses on subject like Ship Structure, Naval Architecture, Marine Auxiliary Machineries, and Material Testing, Ship operations in Theory, and Marine Workshop and Power plant as practical.

The faculty is well known for their expertise and dedication. Faculty members are well known for their practical industry knowledge which plays a key role for the cadets for their career. Faculties are very polite, approachable for any doubt or any problems and the way of teaching helps cadets grasp complex concepts easily and effectively. Overall, faculty’s dedication and commitment to cadet's success contribute significantly to institute's reputation.

The institute has an excellent placement record. It provides almost 100% placements to the cadets. Major Shipping Companies like Chevron, Fleet Management, Dynagas, and Torm, etc. comes for the recruitment in mass number. As per the report, the average salary package is around INR 7-8 lakh per annum, with the highest package up to INR 15 lakh per annum.

The Marine Engineering Course is a residential course which means cadets will be living in the hostels inside the campus. The hostels are well maintained with a good infrastructure. The hostel facilities include 24X7 electricity, laundry services, and common study room with attached mess for each year cadet.

The infrastructure includes well equipped classrooms, modern laboratories and library facilities. Also, the campus includes Marine Workshop with a wide range of machineries used to onboard a ship, simulator labs which provides cadets knowledge of operating a ship, and a ship in campus for hands on training. Hostel accommodations are well maintained and different for male and female cadets and also there are different buildings for different year cadets. For the physical work it offers a separate Gym for male and female cadets and playgrounds and courts for different sports like cricket, football, badminton, and volleyball.

The Campus is spread in 6500 sq.mts. of area having a big playground for cadet’s physical activities, workshop for practical trainings, academic building, hostels, gym, swimming pool, etc. It offers variety of clubs and associations for cadets to join and explore. Various sports like Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Table Tennis, Chess, etc. are played here. Every year Asia's biggest marine fest 'TEMPEST' is organised which includes various cultural activities like Singing, Dancing, Bands, Sports, DJ Night, alumni meet up, etc.
