College Review on MUJ

Overall Rating
My experience so far has been good. You will enjoy your time here. Placements are not the strong point of this college, but still are a lot better and genuine in comparison to other famous tier 3 colleges.
 

Academics Rating
Academics is nothing different in the first year, it is the same as other colleges. But it includes some other subjects which may be useful like IOT and Engineering Graphics (adobe); other subjects are the same such as the C language program. From the 2nd year they will teach OOPs through Java or Python, the students will be given a choice to choose from. Later the same year, they will teach the basics of DSA. The subjects taught in the 3rd year will be based on your choice or specialization. It's not that bad in comparison to other similar colleges, so it's a good university.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is good. There are teachers from IIT and some are even graduates from foreign universities. They are very good at their respective subjects, you can ask them anything. They are willing to teach you if you want to learn as there will be some students who are not interested in learning. But that's common everywhere. The overall faculty quality is good.
 

Placement Rating
The average placement last year was 8-9 LPA for the whole B.Tech department. For the B.Tech CSE core the average package was 14 LPA. About 144 students sat for the placements and around 110 were placed. The figure for B.Tech IT and AI was also the same but a little smaller. So, placements might depend on your respective branches.
 

Hostel Rating
Manipal has the best college life (both the Manipal institute and university). It's considered the best for many reasons as there always seems to be something happening. There are also lenient rules. The facilities provided in the hostel are of world-class. It has the biggest gym in Jaipur. The hostel has a library, swimming pool, play zone, tennis court, basketball court and many gardens.
 

Infrastructure Rating
After the hostel life, it's the second best thing about Manipal. The infrastructure is extraordinary. It includes a dome building which conducts classes for the B.Sc students mostly. There are 3 blocks other, out of which the 1st and 2nd blocks are for B.Tech students and the 3rd block is for the Law students. There are two messes and a big library for the B.Tech students. A library for the Law and B.Sc students and another mess is in the process of construction, which will be completed this year along with a new block.
 

Campus Rating
The hostel and campus life are the best points of the Manipal campus life here. It is the best all over India. Manipal has the most happening campus life, full of fests and events. They organize many hackathons and gaming tournaments for the students. They also conduct exclusive tournaments for the hostellers. Believe me, if you are in the college hostel you will enjoy everything there.

    I am a 2nd year student in B.Tech (Biotechnology). Life had been pretty good for me until now. I have had fun and faced hardships as well in my career. I think every student at least once in their life should live in a hostel.
