The law department of MAIMS is bringing a lot of change now by organising law fests, moot court competitions and inviting some reputed advocates, solicitor, lawyer and judge for sharing their working experience with the students and encouraging them to work hard for their future. The location of the college is little bit remote from main Delhi area and nearby metro station is 3-4 km far from MAIMS. Talking about the ranking of MAIMS in IPU, it is ranked 3rd after VIPS (2nd position). So only first three colleges are considered good for law in GGSIPU.

I am pursuing BBA.LL.B which is a 5 year integrated program. For taking admission in IP colleges you have to visit the official site of GGSIPU and submit the application for it. There is no separate entrance exam for GGSIPU for law. It considers the CLAT rankings only. For participating in the counseling process you have to pay some fee and then fill the college’s preference wise list. If you get the seat in the particular college, you have to lock the seat by paying the fee. Then finally you can visit the college and complete the formalities there itself.

The Faculty of law department is good, teachers are qualified but only some of them are really well versed with the teaching pattern. Only 2-3 out of 10 really provide extra knowledge on a particular subject. Some of them only try to finish the syllabus as early as possible which is not a good method of teaching. There are no weekly quizzes, no extra tests for preparation, only internal examination takes place once in a semester in which 2 units come and then final external exams takes place. Only few teachers guide us and give their opinion, rest of them only takes the lecture and leaves the class.

Yes, there is a placement cell in MAIMS. I am a Law student pursuing BBA.LL.B so there is a separate cell for law department. Being a tier-3 college, we can't expect top law firms or companies to visit campus for recruiting. But some good law firms came in last 2 years and they picked up only skilled students. So just getting a degree is not the goal, you have to do much internship, participate in competitions then only you can expect of getting a good position.

A boy’s hostel is there in the college, if you are not interested in that then you can live in a PG which are present outside the college. The college has a badminton court, basketball area and a gym.

There is a separate building of MAIMS in which all the students of BBA, LL.B, B.Com, BJMC, and Economics study. Other buildings are of MAIT which are divided into blocks. The college has 3-4 canteens, stationary store, ice cream parlor, etc. A big auditorium is present in the college where many events are organised. A stand is present in the campus where people can sit and spend some free quality time.

The area of campus is not too much big, it's medium in size. To be honest, crowd is just fine not that much good. Different fests are organised in MAIMS which are organised by the college societies. Many singers, entrepreneurs and influencers came in the fests.
