My outlook about Ramaiah Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
The locality of the institute is pretty good as there are places to roam around with friends and enjoy ourselves. The institute campus has enough space hence they have different buildings for each branch, making more room for separate labs and instruments. The institute conducts events in which we can participate in. It even supports going into Hackathons and other competitions like Formula Bharat. It allows easy participations in these events. There is an attendance criterion of 75% which is controlled by the faculty members.
 

Academics Rating
The main focus of the institute is academics. It might seem that the institute is not good as it doesn't allow you to take holidays because there is a 75% attendance criterion but in future you will realize that it was for our own good. Though they make an exception when you got to represent the institute in a competition.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here has plenty of experience which gives you an academic advantage. This is because they give insight regarding the best study material and books for the better understanding. They have some very good connections in the top institutions and also influence so a LOR from them will be very helpful. They can also help you if you want to pursue a research career as we have plenty of lab equipment that is enough do a research.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are provided by the institute.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is big enough to house 7 academic buildings giving enough space for labs, classes and offices. Departments like Core Science, Computer Science and Mechanical have their separate buildings. The location also of the institute is crucial as industries are not much far from here. Libraries are open till 9 PM on standard working days connected to campus so making it more accessible to study.
 

Campus Rating
The location of campus has much more influence on campus life as we have plenty of clubs and restaurants to enjoy ourselves. You have enough places near institute to go sightseeing although some are far but some are close too.

    The major reason for choosing Ramaiah Institute of Technology is my interest in Chemistry and my COMEDK rank. The curriculum is very strict, leaving little room for other activities.     I gave many exams such as JEE, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc. I got decent scores in them but none of them could get me CSE in a tier 1 institute. Currently I am in my 3rd semester. Until now, my overall experience has been great with the institute. The campus is only 16 acres but it is beautiful and infrastructure is great.     I am actually happy and satisfied coming to RIT, my overall experience has been good in the last one year. Being from Northern India, I have not faced any discrimination. The faculty and staff are very helpful and generous, and the placement is on the good side of the spectrum.
