My experience at Manipal Institute of Technology has been overwhelmingly positive. While there are areas for improvement—like updating certain course resources. The overall academic is rigor and campus culture makes it a great place for aspiring Engineers. If you’re looking for a well-rounded education paired with an engaging campus life filled with opportunities for personal development and career growth, MIT is definitely worth considering.

As a current student at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), I’d like to share my thoughts on the academic experience here. If you are joining for B.Tech, your minimum eligibility is to have 60% marks in your 12th and clear Manipal entrance test where based on the ranks you get allotted to seat, whereas in M.Tech there should be no backlogs in B.Tech and minimum have 6 CGPA and should clear Manipal entrance test.

The faculty members are highly qualified and often bring real-world experience into the classroom, which helps bridge the gap between theory and practice. However, I’ve noticed that some courses could benefit from updates to align more closely with current industry trends. The curriculum is generally well-structured, but there are times when it feels a bit outdated, especially in fast-evolving fields like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Overall, while the academic rigor is commendable, a more dynamic approach to course content would enhance the learning experience significantly.

One of the highlights of MIT is its placement cell, which works tirelessly to ensure students have access to great job opportunities. Many students, including myself, have had excellent experiences with placements. The statistics speak for themselves—especially in fields like Computer Science, where average packages range from 12-18 LPA, with some students securing offers as high as 54 LPA from top companies like Microsoft and Amazon. The placement process is well-organized. We have pre-placement talks that help us prepare effectively. Moreover, the alumni network is incredibly strong and often helps current students get referrals or insights into various companies.

Hostels are well-maintained, with adequate amenities to support comfortable living conditions. Despite occasional complaints about specific areas needing attention, the overall upkeep of the campus is commendable. This focus on cleanliness enhances the overall student experience and promotes a healthy lifestyle, ZOLO handles cleanliness of the hostel and its residents.

The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and high-quality projectors, making lectures more engaging and interactive. Additionally, the laboratories are well-stocked with the latest equipment, particularly benefiting students in research-based programs. Overall, the infrastructure supports a conducive learning environment. The library is well-equipped with a vast collection of resources, providing students with a quiet space for study and research.

MIT boasts a lively campus atmosphere that enhances the overall student experience. There are plenty of extracurricular activities, clubs, and events catering to various interests—whether you’re into sports, arts, or tech-related activities. The annual cultural fest is a highlight for many students, offering a platform for showcasing talents and bringing together diverse groups. This not only helps in relieving stress but also in building friendships and networks that last beyond college. The campus facilities are excellent too. From sports complexes to cafes, there’s always something happening that keeps us engaged outside of our studies.
