Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, is one of the oldest Engineering institutes in India. There are various courses offered in Engineering ranging from CSE, CSE AIML, ECE, and EEE to Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, etc. To get admission, you need to take the Manipal Entrance test conducted during your year and choose a branch based on your score and the rank you achieved. The faculty here is extensively trained, and most professors are PhD scholars or pursuing PhD. The professors possess good communication skills, and they are helpful and approachable. The professors also take students for research under them and publish research papers in a myriad of different fields. All professors come from a respectable technical background, many being pass-outs from IITs and NITs. They try to build a good understanding for the subject they take among students and introduce creative learning methods.

The placement cell of MIT takes care of the placement for 3rd year students for summer internships and fourth-year students for final year placement. The placement team is vast and they keep bringing opportunities our way. The alumni network is also huge, adding to the connections for placement and industry experience. The network is supportive and often in touch with the placement team. There are several internship and job drives conducted by big MNCs and various reputable companies that you would have surely heard of.

There are a total of twenty-three hostel blocks in MIT, and all types of rooms are available. There are single air-conditioned rooms, double AC rooms, double non-AC rooms, triple sharing rooms and single non-AC rooms. You can choose according to your needs and preferences. The rooms are big and spacious, well furnished and well maintained. The room cleaning service is available as well. There are several messes and food courts available on the campus and near the hostel.
