I literally had a great and unexpected experience in Vellore Institute of Technology. I personally enjoyed more than what I actually expected from my campus life before joining here. You can wear your comfortable dresses and focus on the personal growth. However, you will have to maintain seventy five percentage of attendance and this seventy five percentage is not mandatory if you have nine plus CGPA, you can attend and bunk the classes as per your wish (bunk only when you have sufficient percentage of attendance) if you have to prepare for higher studies. You can also choose your batch timings (class hours), faculties, courses as per your wish i.e., here we follow FFCS system [Fully Flexible Credit System]. So the ones who want to thoroughly enjoy their life here as well excel in their studies can join here. We also have an extension to research facilities where students can engage them in research projects.

I am pursuing BCA from here. So the eligibility criteria include your 12th grade scores. If you have percentages above eighty five or eighty nine, you can enter VIT and pursue this course. In addition to that, with your 12th grade score, you can join other courses like B.Sc Computer Science, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc in Multimedia & Animation, Visual Communication, B.Sc Hospitality & Hotel Administration, B.Sc Agriculture, etc. Also you can join integrated M.Tech and integrated M.Sc (both of these have specializations). Even in B.Com you have more specializations. To join Engineering courses here at VIT, you have to write the entrance exam conducted by them and based on your rank you will have an online counseling for the department you wanted for.

Here we have well-experienced and high-quality faculties who have published research papers in top journals and all. They do research works and publish it besides their teachings on the regular basis. They use projectors to display the topics to be discussed so that student could easily understand it. We have embedded lab sessions taken by excelled lab assistants to excel in studies. They also project us with animated videos so that we could easily understand the concepts.

Yes, the institute provides residential facilities to the students who are willing to stay in the campus premises.

As of now, we have seven beautiful blocks constructed in VIT Vellore. We also have conference rooms, sport amenities, smart classrooms, and canteens. We have five auditoriums. We have CTs who look after IT infrastructure. We have a 7 floored big library where we can find reference books for Allied Subjects, Biotechnology, Humanity, Social Sciences, etc. You can also collect books from library through institute's online website and renew them book as well (online). Apart from all the above, we also have fire fighting systems, water treatment plant, solar water heater, transport facilities in campus, healthcare in campus, and solar electricity panels at the top of every building.

We have wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs for students apart from academics. We also have fests like ‘Gravitas’ to show up their skills in Technology and ‘Riviera’, the cultural fest.
