It's pretty easy in it as the University helps us to get the best studies and the best companies of the country and some global ones too, taking care of our placements. Thus, the job done in no time and two years at LPU cruised past within the twinkling of an eye. LPU accepts various entrance scores along with their entrance. So, one doesn't get admissions here in MBA, as for engineering they have many seats, but for MBA it is around 800. Out of those 800 too, some of it, or rather half of it, are reserved for students from Punjab. So, for an outsider, getting admissions here is a dream. The fees in any B-School is high, so LPU fees didn't bother me at all because, against the fees, the placements and the kind of roadmap and facilities provided were excellent. Lovely Professional University is like its namesake, lovely. Well, the University has taken care of teaching, infrastructure and placements in the best possible way that they can.

During admissions, they demanded 80%ile in CAT, but anything over 50%ile will do, if you are not choosing Finance. I chose marketing anyway, so the percentile didn't matter. Academic-wise, we were provided many better opportunities, as the curricular activities and extracurricular were in tandem to make students industry-ready. Along with the classes, the University organized professional enhancement classes on weekends to prepare us for interviews. Many leaders of leading organizations have come and given Ted Talks and guest lectures for better understanding of management students' roles in any company. What an MBA student brings to the table, no engineer or other qualified student can bring. So, the studies were taken too seriously over here and there was no way one could run, hide or escape from not taking academics seriously here.

There were two faculties over here, as the one was the assisting faculty who took most classes, and then the main faculty who helped us more with the practicals and workshops. Even the assistant faculty were highly qualified and needless to say about the experience, confidence, and knowledge that the main faculty had. There were 20+ faculties including assisting and senior faculties. I can add the guest faculties, too, as many professors from some Canadian and European Universities, too, were invited to throw light on some important topics and subjects.

I can't remember the count, but for sure 100+ companies came for placements. The students with engineering background had an added advantage over the others as we were the first-choice students for placements. Gujarat, which is India's most developed industrial state, was the leading state as most companies that have their offices and plants there have come as far as LPU for placements. Asian Paints, Pepsico, Sun Pharma, and WNS Global were some of the companies from there that hired students who had an engineering background. I got placed in one of the above-mentioned companies from the campus. The average placements in our batch were 6-7 Lakhs and the placement percentage was 80% for sure. At least in the marketing department, it was 80% for sure.

Hostels weren't a compulsory option, but they were without a doubt the best possible option close to the University. I wanted to experience an amazing hostel life and LPU Boys hostel provided me with one. If one can keep a count of the number of hostels that LPU campus has, can take my salute. I was in the C4 block, which was a block for PG students. Every hostel building had their mess where students were served veg and non-veg dishes.

If there's something about the University which bothered me the least, then it was the Infrastructure of the University. Mind-blowing will be an understatement, and thus, I will use the term glamorous. Well, the crowd was glamorous and so were the University buildings and complexes. There was a food mall, a shopping mall that had a salon, tuck shops, a medical store, and whatnot. The sporting facilities were even better than ever in my life. I played snooker, but there were enough snooker tables, to play the sport that legendary Geet Sethi and Pankaj Advani used to play.

An eventful life at LPU is meant for UG students as MBA students had their assignments to complete. We were also taken on industrial tours and competitions out of the campus. We were the busiest souls on the campus and also MBA students were not bound but were asked to join yoga classes or the gym. There was an industry of events inside the campus as students with whatever interest they had would find at least one event to perform at the LPU campus. Since it's Punjab, the stand-up comedy act performed in most of the events. Many famous singers and actors have also promoted their upcoming songs and films at the LPU campus.
