IIT BHU truly lives up to its name as an IIT, as it seems the best place for getting the exposure, experience and discovering one's hidden talents, which might not have been possible earlier due to academic pressure. As a student here, I was able to do many things, which I earlier was not able to do, all being possible due to the vibrant culture here. The institute provides a plethora of skills, which a student can explore upon depending on their interests, and grow themselves upon. The institute's environment is clean and green, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere for getting an quick escape from the daily schedules. I chose this institute as a means of building stage for my future career opportunities, and for the same, IIT tag would serve that purpose as well as the culture would make sure I keep myself engaged in my goal.

The academics at IIT BHU are bit out outdated, which is why the syllabus needs to be updated. I am pursuing Chemical Engineering, and would say that the course has been good so far, with theory and practical going complementary with each other. You will get a hold of various concepts regarding how and what actually a real engineer has to do in industry with the learnt knowledge. The entry requirements for this institute is achieving a suitable rank in the prestigious JEE Advanced examination, conducted every year, which you may be eligible to give after clearing the JEE Main examination. If one is planning to join this course, you would be excited by the concepts taught, and would soon develop a keen interest.

The faculty at this institute are good, most of them having good and vast knowledge about the courses. They are highly educated having the top-notch qualifications from reputed institutes over the world. The professors here promote research work, under whom students can undertake projects and carry out exploratory analysis for various engineering topics for which they have a keen interest in. They are supportive to great extent, aiding students in their doubts and queries over the part they feel uncertain in. They are approachable to through mail and some even lend their personal contact to students, promoting a one-to-one interaction.

IIT BHU has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell, which coordinates the placements and internship opportunities for students. The cell has been doing great job in helping students gain good career prospects over the years. Our institute is showing remarkable progress in placements having ranked among the top 5 engineering institutes in providing placement to most students here. Whatever field you believe you are interested, just deep dive and study with your best efforts, surely it would pay for you in the future.

Yes, our hostel provides hostel facilities for the students. The hostel conditions are excellent having good rooms with great amenities. Every hostel has a common room where one could study, play indoor games like table tennis, carom, etc. There is a dedicated mess in hostel for having daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are canteens and vending machines in every hostel from where one can grab munchies and snacks, if one feels hungry regardless of the mess hours. The bathrooms are cleaned on a regular basis, maintaining hygiene for student. There are geysers and showers installed in bathrooms for student's comfort. There are caretakers and wardens in every hostel who look after the students' well-being and safety.

The campus' academic blocks are just fine, but feel like many things need renovation. The lecture theatres where teaching takes place are maintained well, even though some of the classrooms are not big enough to fit 150+ students. The department classrooms are almost 100 years old, and have old styled architecture, where maintenance work is required. The lab facilities are fine, but a little old. The structure of the buildings is classic dome shaped resembling uniqueness. There is a dedicated proctor office for students help and a bank for aiding students in their financials.

The campus life at IIT BHU is excellent, as people can always find a place for themselves wherein they could take a rest and have a talk with people. The clubs here provide opportunities for students to pursue many extracurricular activities. There are good sport facilities where one could refresh themselves, and also uncover the hidden athlete inside them. There are fruit juice stalls as well as teashops where one could hangout with people, and talk about life. The institute organizes various big fests every year like Kashiyatra (the annual socio-cultural fest), Technex (the annual technical fest), and Spardha (the annual sports fest), which provide a great opportunity for people to witness something spectacular, and have a chance to witness some of the great personalities they would have seen only online. Apart from that, there are major celebrations for every big festivals like Holi, Diwali, and Dusshera wherein you would get the feeling of home celebrations.
