CURAJ Ajmer: Affordable Fees and Exceptional Education

It was the first time I got to live far from my home when I got admission in Central University of Rajasthan. But little did I know that I was going to get a home away from home. Such a heartwarming place it was. I found such good friends, mentors and teachers here who guided me and helped me throughout the journey and never let me feel low at any moment. I am so grateful to be here, have this opportunity of being part of this educational community which helps students grow and excel in their career.

I got admission in integrated M.Sc mathematics which is a 5 year course. I was always interested in mathematics subject and that's why I took admission in this course. First 2 years we have different course options to choose and last 3 years mainly mathematics courses are available to be taught. The faculty here is very good in their domains and they did a great job in teaching us the basic and advanced concepts. My knowledge has gradually increased after coming here. I'm so happy to choose this University as it gave me opportunity to Kick start to my career.

As it is a government Institute, the fee is not very much. We have 10 semesters in total and starting 6 semesters. The average academic fee is around 8 thousand rupees per semester and remaining last 4 semesters is around 10-12 thousand per semester. Admission fee is 10 thousand rupees. Hostel and mess charges are not included in academic fee. For hostel the charge is around 8 thousand per semester and 3 thousand is per month mess charges. As per the quality is provided, the charges are worth it.

The faculty of Central University of Rajasthan is excellent. All the professors of mathematics department are having experience 10 years and so much more. We have 10 faculty members in mathematics department all having their Ph.D from IITs and other prestigious Universities of India and foreign too. They are the best in their fields. All the members have done research work and are still members of various research going on. There are 25-30 students in our course so the teachers can focus on each single student in the class. They make complex things understandable and give us time to ask doubts in class and also take extra doubt classes so that we can learn things clearly. Professors are very kind and are friendly here. They are always there to help us.

Yes, there is a placement cell in our Institute. But because of the location which is a little outside the city, less companies come here. There are still a lot of placement opportunities. Students who work hard get placed. But you need to be aware about the timings.

Yes, the Institute provides hostel facilities to all the students. There are 4 hostels for girls and 3 hostels for boys. Food is provided in mega mess to all the boys hostel and all girls hostel have their separate mess. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served with hygiene and the quality of food is also good. You can complain to respective mess managers if you have any problem regarding food or mess facilities. The mess staff is very good and they are never rude to the students. Hostels are locked after 10 pm and you can ask chief warden sir for permission if you want to comeback after 10 p.m.

Central University of Rajasthan has a great campus with more than 60, 70 buildings and great infrastructure. Academic blocks are at a little walking distance from the hostels. There are also e rickshaws available if you're not in a mood to walk. The central library is very big and has so many books and also e Library is accessible to students. There is cafeteria near academic blocks and library. Also there is bank, post office, canteens and shopping area available in the campus. Campus has cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, badminton court and so many more sports areas available. Institute also provides funds for students to participate in sports tournaments.

My life in campus is very fun and interesting. I got amazing friends here and developed life long bonds. There are many clubs here which we can join and enjoy and enhance our interest in that domain. Cultural events and fests are also going on a lot of times. Every Thursday, there is a cultural event at flag point where everyone is given a chance to showcase their talent. Overall my life is very good after coming here.
