Overall Rating
BIT Sindri has very good return of investment. Its overall fee is approximately Rs. 25,000 (yearly) and mess fee is Rs. 3,900 monthly, which is very affordable. Its placements are better than other institutes in same tier. It's placement in core branches are outstanding. Companies like Tata Steel and Vedanta are its mass recruiters.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering. It is one of the oldest branches here (since 1949). It provides a very good placement and has easy and practical curriculum. The main thing is that it is a government institute. You should have above 75% in 12th board and qualify JEE Main with approximately 90 percentile or above for students with no reservations. There are two mid-sem exams and one end-sem exams in each semester.
The annual fee is as follows. Admission fee is approximately Rs. 7,500 for general & OBC and 3200 for SC, ST & EWS category. Other than that, Rs. 7,500 is taken as student fund fee.
 

Faculty Rating
Facilities are all well experienced and teaching in BIT Sindri for long time. Some of them are ex employees of DRDO and ISRO. Theory classes are conducted in classroom and practicals are being conducted in lab rooms, which also have marking system. You are free to ask any questions and behavior depends on person to person.
 

Placement Rating
Institute is known for providing 100% placements. Average package is about 8 LPA and it is going up day by day.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel has old infrastructure but new one is being built. Mess is private which gives good enough food quality. Boy’s hostel closes at 10 PM and girl’s hostel closes at 7 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is little old because it is an old heritage. We have an open campus with almost 470 acres, which is beautiful and lush green with trees all around. There are 10 branches and all of them have separate buildings. Classes are big enough for 150 students. One auditorium is there for event and seminars to be conducted. One good library is there where you can find every book related to academics. There are three big grounds and one canteen. There is also a GYM and sports clubroom. Hostels are very big and spacious.
 

Campus Rating
There are approximately 30 clubs and societies, which play a significant role in upbringing community and also do social work. Fests are organized by the clubs individually and sport events are also being conducted every year. I am in NSS for social services.

    The very first impression of the Institute “This institute is beyond expectations and a life saver for students who can't go to NIT's". It has a wide spread campus of around 450 acres with a green environment and students accommodate in hostels which increases their social interactions.     Our Institute Birsa Institute of Technology is one of the most fabulous Institute in Jharkhand which is a Government Engineering Institute of Jharkhand.     BIT Sindri Dhanbad is located in Sindri (urban area) but here experience of this Institute in my eye is good in terms of everything like campus, environment, faculty, seniors and juniors interaction, and hostel Life, etc. For being a student this has been a great journey and experience.
