VIT Pune: Admission Requirements, Fees, and Scholarship Opportunities

VIT is a very good college for placements and infrastructure. The teachers are better but the syllabus is amazing. It is different from other colleges and my experience here was very good. The campus is very small but it is very good. The factor that helped me choose this college is that the syllabus is different and the events are organized regularly. This helps us to improve our soft skills. It is very good than any other colleges.

My chosen course is computer science with specialization in cyber security and block chain technology. My motive was that I love cyber security and block chain technology and for that very reason I chose this branch. The entry requirements are high. You must score 98 percentile and above that for getting admission in our college. The admission process is very simple you will get college through MHTCET or JEE. Cap round exam happens usually for 1 month in duration. The main thing with this college is that the syllabus is different which helps us to get trained for real life challenges and real life experiences. The college has many clubs from which you can get knowledge about everything. You can get real life communications skill for this. Clubs organises so many events like hacathons which helps us to improve our experience.

The fee is same for all courses in B.Tech. the fee for this course is Rs. 1,92,000 for open candidate. It varies according to your caste. For OBC and EW candidates the fees is around Rs. 1,10,000 per year and for NT/VJNT/SBC this is Rs. 30,000 per years and for SC / ST fee is about Rs. 5000/6000 per year. There are many scholarships provided according to your caste.

The faculties in college are somewhat good but somewhat bad too. Some teachers are not so much good but no issue with that. You can cover it at all the background of all faculty members. They are very humble and they have helping nature. They generally teach us with PPT on projectors. They have a good problem solving ability but can explain everything thing multiple times to the students. There are about 200 students per teacher. My experience is very good because teachers are very loyal and they helped me in every problem.

The placements in our college are too good. There is a separate placement cell in our college which is very good and they contact companies and helps students to get placed at prominent companies. The activities related is that are mock interviews, mock aptitude tests, etc. The companies that mostly visit the campus are Uber, TCS, Infosys, etc. The average package offered is about 12 LPA and highest is 50 LPA. My experience was very good in college. The placements of my first motive are to choose college from placements.

Yes, college offers residential facilities but it has very low seats. Both are separate hostels. There are 4 canteens in the premises. The food quality is good. No, I will not stay in hostel.

The campus is small but it offers very rich campus experience. We have ground, TT tables, caroms tables, volleyball ground, basketball court, size is small and located in the Bibewadi. The classrooms are good in college with projectors and Wi-Fi enabled campus, big auditorium and e-library. It is also equipped with tech labs, canteens and neat and clean medical rooms. The favorite place in the campus is boat club where there are big trees. The facilities are good in college but washrooms are not so good in the college.

My overall campus life is very nice. There is somewhat crowd but that’s okay. There are more than 50 clubs in VIT that helps us to improve our skill. Yes. I am part of club. There are so many activities that are organized in the college like sports competition and hackathons and others. There are many events per month like fresher’s party and vishwakarnadak crescendo and more. The fee for this is extra charged by students and organizes many experiences.
