The green & smart VIT Pune campus covers a land area of approximately 7 acres. Students are provided with a range of academic facilities inside the campus such as classrooms, library, labs, auditorium, etc.

Academic Facilities
The Vishwakarma Institute of Technology campus is Wi-Fi enabled so that students can seamlessly access the Internet for academic purposes. The classrooms & tutorial rooms are equipped with modern aids like projector, speakers, etc. to enhance the teaching-learning experience of the students. There are several seminar halls & a conference hall (seating capacity of around 50 students) inside the premises with requisite amenities & seating capacity and are used for conducting seminars, presentations, conferences, and other such academic activities.
The ‘Sharad Arena’ auditorium of the Institute has a carpet area of approximately 630 sq. m. and can accommodate around 600 students. It is air-conditioned and well-equipped with the latest audio-visual systems including speakers, projector, and much more. Here, technical and cultural events are hosted regularly so that students can develop lifetime skills. The other facilities available are a xerox room, and ‘VIT Printing & Stationery Shop’, to name a few.

- Library: The Institute has a central library named ‘Bajrangdas Lohiya Central Library’. It is well-stacked with a huge collection of around 10,950 e-books, more than 71,000 volumes, 20,900+ titles, and 94 print journals. Other than this, encyclopedias, handbooks, video cassettes, CDs, etc. are also available.
Students and staff members can access the e-resources like J-Gate, Shodhganga, E-ShodhSindhu, Swayam-NPTEL, DELNET, NDLI, etc. using the PCs that are available in the library. Other facilities include reading hall, internet connection, reprographic services, and so on.
- Laboratories: There is a computer centre at the premises along with various computer labs that are equipped with the latest hardware and software. Students can access these labs to hone their digital skills and for other academic needs.
In addition to this, numerous laboratories are there for departments like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and more; some of the labs are Robotics & Mechatronics lab, Coordinate Measuring Machine Metrology lab, Semiconductor Devices and Circuits lab, and Language lab.
Non-Academic Facilities
To ensure the overall well-being and personal growth of the students, the Institute provides numerous facilities to them in addition to academic ones. The non-academic amenities available at the VIT Pune campus are discussed below:
- Sports: Inside the Institute’s premises, there are well-maintained Fields and Courts for outdoor sports like Badminton, Athletics, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and so on.
Additionally, indoor game amenities are available for Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom, etc. are also present. Students of the Institute are provided training & guidance by experienced coaches and are encouraged to participate in the sports competitions held at various levels.
- Hostels: Separate accommodation facilities are provided to the male & female students. The boys’ & girls’ VIT Pune Hostels can accommodate 282+ and around 162 residents, respectively. Students are provided the fully-furnished rooms on a single and sharing basis.
A home-away-from-home experience is offered to the residents at the hostels with facilities like 24/7 security & CCTV surveillance at common spaces, Wi-Fi connectivity, TV room, indoor games, and much more. Mess / dining spaces are available for the boarders wherein they are served with different types of healthy & hygienically prepared meals.
- Food Courts: There are around 2 food courts at distinct locations of the campus wherein a multitude of canteen and food outlets are available. It includes ‘VIT Canteen’, ‘Juice & Fruit Bar’, ‘Nescafe Kiosk’, ‘Kiosk Kaddee’, ‘New Poona Bakery’, ‘Chaat Centre’, etc.
These eateries have ample seating space for the students and have an inclusive menu including Maharashtrian, Chinese, South Indian cuisines, light snacks, bakery items, and beverages to cater the diverse taste & dietary preferences.
- Healthcare Facilities: A ‘First Aid & Sick Room’ is available inside the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology campus wherein students are provided with basic healthcare and medical facilities.
- Gymnasium: A gymnasium / fitness centre is present in the VIT Pune campus. It has various equipment for the students to exercise and maintain their physical health.
- Banking: Inside the VIT Pune campus, a ‘Suvarnayug Sahakari Bank’ and its ATM are available for the students for availing banking services and cash withdrawals.
