VIT Pune Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The VIT Pune hostel amenities are available for outstation male & female students near to its campus. The hostels are commonly known as ‘My Happy Home A, B, and C’ and accommodation capacity is over 444 students.

The yearly VIT Pune hostel fees range from Rs. 1,25,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- including room rent, mess, and refundable security charges.

Prescribed residential charges are to be paid by the students who wish to live at the hostels offered by the Institute. These charges generally differ in accordance with various factors including gender of the student, off & on campus, etc.

Special Notes to Remember

Following are a few special points regarding the Institute’s hostel charges:

• The above specified hostel fee includes room rent, mess (Breakfast & Dinner), and other such charges. Also, there are additional charges for refundable deposit & these are Rs. 5000/-.
• Students who live at the off-campus residences & have opted for commuting facilities need to submit prescribed transportation fees.
• The Institute’s hostel fee can also be paid in 2 installments (in a semester wise pattern).

The VIT Pune Hostel Committee has established some important rules & regulations in order to create safe and comfortable living space for boarders; some of such rules & regulations are as follows:

• Students should not get involved in ragging as it is considered one of the most inhuman acts.
• Consumption and storage of alcoholic drinks, drugs or other intoxicating substances is prohibited at the accommodations of the Institute.
• For going out & coming back to the residences, all the hostellers are required to follow prescribed timings.
• In case students wish to leave the accommodations for the whole night, they need to have permission from their respective wardens in advance.
• All the hostel inmates shall refrain themselves from playing loud music, shouting or creating nuisance during the silent hours as the timings are strictly prescribed for resting and studying.

Outside the premises of the Institute, there is a ‘My Happy Home A’ i.e., male hostels where numerous rooms are present to accommodate more than 282 students. Whereas, ‘My Happy Home B and C’ are situated at close proximity to the campus and contain sufficient amenities for nearly 140 & 22 female students, respectively.

The VIT Pune hostel rooms are available in different occupancies like single, double, triple, quadruple, and others. These rooms are furnished with basic amenities such as individual beds, chairs, tables, almirah & many others.

To ease students’ commute from their respective hostels to the VIT Pune Campus, safe, convenient, and timely transportation amenities are available. Beside this, students have access to television, indoor sports & other recreational amenities to enhance students’ living experience.

Wardens, assistants, residential guardians, and other staff members are present at each hostel block so that students can get a homely and comfortable environment. Also, the whole complex is equipped with vigilance cameras to ensure safety of the students.

The VIT Pune hostel offers food facilities and it is compulsory for all the hostellers to have their meals at the mess / dining spaces. Here, students are served hygienic and delicious meals which are Breakfast and Dinner during the scheduled hours. A separate food committee is formed by the management, which reviews the menu and quality of food on a regular basis.
