Thapar College review

Overall Rating
This college has a very well established connection with international students and institutions. The NIRF ranking is 23rd among university and a pretty big 250 acre campus. It has excellent network among industries and has outreach manager for placement. Labs are of best class. Thapar has its unique academic syllabus as it is a deemed university which is more towards practical knowledge. The machines labs are new and good.
 

Academics Rating
The biotechnology branch of Thapar has many good professionals Having Ph.D degree and many research projects. They have a huge knowledge of their subjects. Te admission are based on the 12th marks and JEE percentile. There are 8 semesters and there is a mid-term exam and end term exam and in between sessions lab practical exams of 29 marks are conducted.
The tuition fee increases by 10% each year, I recently paid Rs.3.12 lakhs for this semester, which makes it Rs.25.00 lakh in total of 4 years.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties in Thapar are all Ph.D from foreign University and have good knowledge of their field. Many faculty members have research projects sponsored by other universities and they show good behavior towards their students. Faculties here in Thapar are well equipped with up to date lab equipments and technology. They have excellent Alumni network, which comes in handy when you’re out there looking for a job or business. Classes are equipped with projectors.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Thapar has two campus one in Patiala and other in Derabassi. The Patiala campus is lush green and spread on 250 acre land. Library of Thapar is huge and state of the art. It has seating capacity of 550 students. The Auditorium building is old but it is good. E-auto runs inside campus which charge Rs.10.00 for every ride. Thapar has its own medical centre which has many doctors and free medical shop inside.
 

Campus Rating
The campus crowd is good and has many spots to eat around the campus. There is Jaggi Cos and Cravings which contains many fast food options and coffee shops such as Dominos, Burgrill etc. Thapar has over 40 societies and clubs which do many fest. The main fest of Thapar is Saturnalia which has a budget of over Rs.1.00 Crore. It has tennis courts and cricket ground and pool of its own.
