KIIT, Bhubaneswar: Exceptional in Every Aspect

Overall Rating
KIIT, Bhubaneswar is located in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. It has luscious greenery surroundings. I have been studying here since past 1.5 years and my overall experience has been very exciting and fun. I have had the chance to interact and learn from some of the greatest minds in the field. The curriculum is designed very as per the current Industry demands and it has helped me gain introductory knowledge in other non tech fields such as yoga and technical writing. This has helped in my overall growth since coming to this university.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying B.Tech in CSE branch. I chose this branch due to my keen interest in the majestic world of computer science and technology. I had to take the KIITEE entrance exam for the entry. Then according to my rank, I was allowed to take the CSE stream. There is a counseling session where I was informed about vast and modern infrastructure of university and other relevant information.
I was required to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 70,000. Then, I had to pay Rs. 1,50,000 per semester excluding the hostel fee.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty consists of teacher who has completed their PhD in their respective fields. They have deep and intricate knowledge of the subjects. They are really helpful and cooperative. Even if we reach out to them outside of teaching hours, they are still cooperative and help us solve our academic and sometimes I have talked with some teachers and mentor regarding some personal issues they helped with even that too. I am working on a research paper with one teacher who taught me in my first year.
 

Placement Rating
There is a Placement and Training Cell in my university that focus is to train the students to be job ready. They conduct both online, offline classes from the 4th semester where they teach us about the interview process, and how can we prepare ourselves for each stage. There are several companies from MNCs to startups, which come to our university for recruitment. They had recruited one of our alumni for a package of 52 LPA. The average package ranges from 13 to 18 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
There is variety of hostel for both boys and girls (separate). The hostel is divided according to the availability of AC. The mess food is good and the mess routine changes every month after a meeting between the mess managers and student representative. The hostel timings vary as per the year of student.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 24 different blocks in the entire university, which are divided for various streams. The entire area covers 800 acres. There is a canteen in almost every campus with department specific along with their library with numerous books related to the department. There are several auditoriums and conference hall for workshops and events for all round development of students. There is a university owned hospital that is fully equipped with modern technology offering vast number of facilities to all students and outsiders. The students are provided discount in the services.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very lively. There are several clubs and societies setup by students and oversee by college faculty across department. These societies are of varying departments and field ranging from dance, singing, drama, finance, coding, etc. (all tech and non- tech fields). They organize many events, seminars, & flash mobs. These help enrich the campus life of every student. The fest also called ‘KIITfest’ in our university is held every year in February where several events across several days are organized along with several celebrities' performance from the likes of Sunidhi Chauhan, etc.

    KIIT is an Institute where the main goal of the Institute is educates tons of children. The batch of 2024 has more than 4000 admissions. I had no other good choice rather than to join this Institute. Well it is not totally bad Institute if you can focus on yourself and use the resources efficiently I think you can achieve great things in life.     This Institute is a combination of extracurricular activities and great academics. KIIT provides a beautiful natural environment for students to study and perform their various vocational activities. One who is a great fan of sports and culture must come here cause it is the domain of all these.
