SLS Pune's BBA.LL.B Program: Eligibility and Fees

Overall, SLS is a good Private Law College and one should consider it, if he/she was not able to get in top 5 NLUs. It provides every opportunity to the students to show case his/her talent. I chose it because it has a good reputation and good placement. On getting admission here, one thing is definite that you will be able to make great connections, which help in getting internships in firms, placements, good grades, and many more. Spending 5 years here is full of enjoyment with great amount of hard work. However, in the end it is all worth it.

The BBA-LLB (H) course at SLS Pune is the best course for those who want to pursue Corporate Law. It is a blend of BBA and Law subjects. Every year, there are 2 semesters, and the faculty’s teaching style is fabulous and easy to understand. To get admission here, one needs to clear their annual official exam SLAT. It comprises of written exam followed by a written ability test and a final stage interview. Furthermore, there are various extra/remedial classes also held for those students who find any particular subject hard to understand

Fees are Rs. 3,80,000 (Rs. 1,90,000 for both installments in 2 sem). They have various tie-ups with banks such as Bank of Baroda, which provide scholarships and fee waivers for backwards category students.

Here, faculty teaching Law subjects such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, etc, are the best and worth listening to. They teach with PPTs and give sufficient time on topics that require greater attention. They have their concise study material that is accessible for every student. They interact with students by giving class assignments and discussing them. Students who face any doubts can freely approach the concerned faculty, and they are always happy to help. Apart from it, they also provide "Faculty Feedback" on every given assignment.

Every year, 10-20 students from particular batches can get campus placements in Tier-1 National and International Law Firms. The college has its own placement cell known as Career and Professional Development Cell (CPD), they go through each student's CV and conduct interviews.

It has a hostel available for both girls and boys known as Tulip and Kopou respectively. It has 3 sharing rooms with no AC. The girls hostel is in college campus itself, whereas boys hostel (Kopou) is 4 KM away from the college campus. The food is decent, not so good and not so bad.

The campus is not so big, but it includes every important thing needed for students, such as Moot Court hall, library, canteen, medical room, computer lab, tuck shop, seminar hall, etc. My favorite place is a library, which is also known as the Reading Hall and the computer lab (because of the AC). Apart from it, in each classroom, one can find a smart board and 2 sharing benches. Our law branch is on the 1st and 2nd floor. On the last 3rd floor, it has Symbiosis Institute of Designing.

Every year for 3 days, SLS Pune has its college fair called as "Symbhav" where many activities happen such as Concerts, Trial Competition, Sports Activities, etc. In each batch, there are 120 students. In the first year of law school, they mandate student participation in the Novice Moot Court Elimination, by which students become eligible to bid for Moot Courts and represent their college. Apart from it, there are various clubs and sell such as Rotaract Club, Animal Liberation Cell, Placement Cell and many more. One can be part of a maximum of 6 clubs at once in a year. According to my experience, studying in this college is a blend of hard work and enjoyment.
