My Journey In LSR College New Delhi

Overall Rating
My learning experience has been truly amazing with amazing teachers, curriculum and all. I chose this college because of its popularity, good placements and quality education. It is very different from other colleges in terms of security and environment. It is much better than any other DU college like this college is completely ragging free, stays away from protests and university elections, giving a complete focus on education. Also, there is never any mismanagement in fests and other college events.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics as my Bachelor's Degree. I chose this as it was my subject of utmost interest in high school apart from Economics. Entry requirements in my college is through CUET only and subjects to chose from, are English, Mathematics and any 2 subjects studied in 12th. Admission process aligns with that of DU and is simple. Exams are semester based only. No mid sem exams take place here, but the teachers try their best to help students understand the concepts and take regular tests to help them The course prepares us quite well for various fields of life.
Fees of LSR New Delhi are charged on yearly basis and it is Rs. 24,461. Apart from this only examination fee is charged by the university. Scholarships are provided on university basis and on department basis, like in Mathematics department, Anupama Dua Paper Presentation and Scholarship program is there, which provides financial aid to top performers from each year.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable enough to help the students in creating a better future for themselves. The teachers belong from well off family backgrounds and are so friendly that we can talk to them about literally anything and any problem we face in our life. Problem solving capacity of the teachers is also remarkable. In our department, we have about 60 students in one year and faculty has 9 teachers. Teachers are easily approachable whenever the students need them whether on campus or off campus. They try their best to create a friendly bond with the students to make them feel at home while studying.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell of our college is always active. It provides students with various sessions with our seniors who were previously placed at some good companies or some people who can guide us through the path about to come in front of us. Accenture, BlackRock, TCS are some of the renowned companies that come to our college for placements. Average package in the college is 16LPA- 17 LPA and highest was 48 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is undergoing renovation since 2 years.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is very aesthetic, with three lawns, a playground and 2 buildings to avoid hassles during semester examinations. Library is really nice with lots of books available both online and offline. 2 seminar halls, 1 auditorium, and 2 conference halls are available in the campus. Canteen is nice but now days the quality of food isn't much great, sports facilities are also available, students can access any mode of transport from right outside the college. Security is also remarkable; no student is allowed to enter without ID card.
 

Campus Rating
My college life has been more than amazing, with a nice learning and fun experience. The organization of fests, both of college and department are so good. The organization of events is always hassle free. The college has a lot of clubs like Debate, Prakriti, SC-ST Cell, North East Cell, Public Speaking Open Society, and lot more. It is a great experience.

    The course I chosen is Journalism because I wish to pursue a career in editorial or PR in the future. To get admission in BA (Hons.) Journalism, you need to qualify CUET exam. The first round cutoff for this year was 770/800. For CUET, there are two available subject combinations to qualify.     Before coming here, I was so skeptical whether I would find any genuine person or girls would be toxic, but to my surprise everything is so nice here, the people, the environment, the work culture, infrastructure everything.     I loved my experience in this college. Being a first year student pursuing Economic (Hons.), I think the glorified picture of Lady Shri Ram College pictured outside DU, is indeed true. Particularly for economics, this is genuinely the best college. I have gained both knowledge and confidence here. The campus itself is very beautiful with lush green lawns the iconic red brick architecture of DU. There are many societies here, covering everything a student may be interested in.     My overall experience at Lady Shri Ram College is very good. The campus of the college is very good and Friendly. The environment of our college is very safe and feels like home. All the teachers and students are supportive and help us when we need. It's a girls college so we can stay here without any fear.     LSR New Delhi is one of the best colleges. I always wanted to get into this college mainly because of the alumni network like Tina Dabi, Manu Bhakar, and many more. The fests are also passionate and teachers are very professional yet friendly. The level of teaching is same throughout DU college.
