My overall experience with this university is filled of ups and down. As every coin has two sides, same as it, my university experience was mixed. The faculty is great mostly, but some are rude. The infrastructure is great with great ambience. Each department has its own building so you will not be confused. University hosts an annual fest, which is called Grafest. It is of 3-4 days. Every department has its own events. Anyone can attend it and play in it. Everything was so perfect for anyone who wants to uplift his or her passion while studying. Many workshops are held too.

The academics consist of 2 semesters in a year. Each semester has 2 exam i.e. mid sem and end sem. The academic for B.Tech is mid level. They teach less and expect more from you, which happens in every university as university is all about self studies. Don't just rely on university, study by yourself too. Academics consist of the mini projects in every semester, where you have to work under a faculty for this and then at the end of the semester you have to present it in front of industry experts. Now it has become such an important task that you have to write research paper on it and if you want it to present it on the conference you can. Overall, it is great now. It's getting more serious than before.

For me the fee was relatively less but now they have increased a bit. For first year with JEE percentile, girl and yearly payment discount. I got discount of Rs. 70,000 approximately after which I paid Rs. 2,35,000. Afterwards, excluding JEE percentile discount and adding CGPA maintain discount, I got discount of about Rs. 90,000 every year, which made me pay Rs. 2,65,000 every year.

Faculty is mixed. Some are rude while some are friendly. Some will try to help you while some will just de-motivate you. Search things on your own if you want placement while for studying. Focus on their teaching only for exams only. Exams paper will come only from where they teach you. Previous year papers will solely help you in getting CGPA of 9+. Nearly same or similar questions come every year as syllabus is same every year.

University has a placement cell. Companies that visited the campus are: Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Visa, DE Shaw, Tech Mahindra, think 41, Coforge, NAB, Samsung, Cognizant and many more. Study by your own from Striver and CodestorywithMik (on YouTube) for placements from first year onwards.

Marina hostel (for girls) has great rooms while other hostels are old but they are still good.

Infrastructure is great with great ambience. There is so much greenery. Every department has its own building. It also has gym and game area, which has table tennis and carom. Game area also has snack shop facility there. University has two cafes and one canteen with 3 tuck shops. Stationary shop, medical facilities are also there. You can go there anytime if you feel little unwell. It also has 2 buildings solely for computer lab, in main building for only CSE students and CSIT building itself has 7 labs.

Overall campus life is great. I can never forget the days I spent here. Though I had many complaints when I used to study there but now when I remember those days I really want to live it again. The annual fest, before 2025, used to be a 3-day celebrity fest where celebrity used to come and perform. But this time it happened for 4 days continuously which also consists of 3 days DJ and on the last day Amit trivedi was invited. University has many clubs in which you can enroll in. The culture here in Dehradun is so good that you will never want to leave this place. University crowd is increasing every year. Every department has its own club. It also has NCC and NSS.
