Choose PICT Pune for B.Tech Course

I just completed my first year and the overall experience was quite good. PICT Pune completely focuses on academics and skills. Here, there are many clubs, CCA credits, etc. but extracurricular are not that much focused on. Factors that made me choose were the coding culture and placements here. The difference is the strength of students, because many institutes increase their seats due to willingness of students to come there, but this institute has fixed amount of seats and they are completely focused on that particular amount of students, due to this personal attention is given.

Course chosen by me is Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ENTC), and motive behind the course was to explore both software and hardware. Here admission is based on CET score, which must be more than 99.2 percentile in CAP and 97.8 percentile in spot. Admission process is like, first you have submit list of institutes to the CAP as per your priority and after that if you get PICT Pune here you have to come and submit all those documents which you submitted for CAP, and then payment and all further formalities are done as per instructions. There are 2 exams per semester. Academics prepare you really well for real life challenges.

Rs. 1,05,000 for complete year for open category is the fee. For other categories there is few concession like TFWS needs to pay Rs. 20,000, SEBC needs to pay Rs. 60,000, etc. Scholarship needs to be taken by student itself, institution will not provide any scholarship, but there a scholarship named MAHADBT famous among students, but this is only for the students who took admission from CAP round.

Faculty is very intellectual and smart. They teach and reach up to the industry standards. Background of faculties is from very precious institutes like COEP. Their method of teaching is via blackboard, PPT, interaction with students in labs, etc. They are available for you at any time for solving any kind of doubts. Bonding with faculty members is really nice. Some of them never let me feel like that are my teachers, they are with us like our friends.

PICT Pune is famous for its placement, so undoubtedly placements are really good. Our seniors as well as friends got package between 15 LPA to 20 LPA.
There is TNP (training and placement) cell, which looks after it. Here, famous companies like, PhonePe, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, and many more have visited.

The institute has boys and girls hostel separate, but there are very minimum seats in those hostels, almost all seats are finished in CAP round. Hostel has strict rule of no ragging. Closing time for boys hostel are 10 PM and for girls it is 9 PM.

Campus has 4 academic blocks namely A1, A2, A3, F block. Campus size is about 4.5 acres and seating capacity of each class is about 80 students. Institute has one reading hall, one auditorium, library and one seminar hall for each department. My favorite place is auditorium and EDC cell hall due to its quiet environment. There are labs with lab assistants for those labs. There is one gym included as well.

My overall campus life of first year was very great because I explored a lot about me in the institute like taking part in public activities and anchoring as well.
Institute crowd is really very helpful and sincere. There are extracurricular activities like, Pictofest, Xenia, many more club events. ‘Addiction’ is a cultural fest at institute and there is a Tech fest named INC (Impetus And Concepts) this is a flagship event of institute.
