Student’s Life at UTU Dehradun

Overall Rating
The major factor for approaching this university was that it is a government university with the affordable fee range and great faculties. The university provides you with various courses like B.Tech to M.Tech, B.Pharm etc. UTU Dehradun has a great infrastructure with spacious classrooms and library with availability of books of each course. The university has sports ground for outdoor games such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, etc.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering as my core branch due to its demand in this futuristic generation. The eligibility criterion for admission in this university is you have to appear for Joint Entrance Examination in which you have to score a decent percentile range from 80 to 90 approx. The admission process is mainly done online and you have to apply for Uttarakhand counselling. The major advantage of this university is the cut off goes really low.
There are many scholarship programs in UTU Dehradun, which you apply for such as in NSP i.e. National Scholarship Portal. They provide you with a minimum of Rs. 50,000 per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of the university are highly responsible and having great teaching methods. They have a high ability of problem solving and also help you regarding your project works if you ask they for help. Here, in the university, the bonding with the faculties is very friendly and they support us regarding the issues and try to resolve them. The checking schemes of these faculties are a bit strict. Rest all is great.
 

Placement Rating
A placement cell is there is UTU Dehradun, which trains us for job interviews.
 

Hostel Rating
Some hostels are under construction in the university. Other than this, university has tie up with private hostels outside the university in nearby localities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
UTU is situated in mountain views of Dehradun. The university has a main building of UTU and has other building for labs and classrooms. The university has three cafeterias and one lounge area similar to a common hall where student can play indoor games such as TT, chess etc. My favourite part of the university is the ground where we usually chill during the lunch breaks.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is very hectic, the university starts in morning at 9 and ends at 5 in the evening with continuous classes and lab sessions. Before the lunch break, there are mainly the theory classes of one hour each. After the lunch, there are lab sessions or sometimes any seminar or club meetings too. Therefore, we are occupied full day. The university also conducts fest in the month of March every year, which last for three days.

    Uttarakhand Technical University is the main university in Uttarakhand from which the 26 other university are affiliated. The campus is really beautiful and surrounded with greenery. We have all facilities like canteen, student lounge, Wi-Fi, etc. I will definitely refer this university to all the freshers out there who are thinking of taking admission in B.Tech Computer Science or Cyber Security....
