Overall Rating
My overall experience with Hansraj College was pretty much above average. Academically, the college is good. The professors mostly are great, the societies mostly function really well but some support from management could help improve it. Every student has a mentor professor to help with any personal or college related issue, which in my opinion, worked really well for me. I love the sports ground of my college. The sports equipment are maintained pretty well and are easily accessible. This college is one of the few colleges in North Campus with AC in classrooms.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Com (Hons.) and this selection is driven by my wish to pursue MBA and getting a corporate job post MBA. You will have to write CUET and apply through Delhi University's CSAS portal in order to secure admission at any Delhi University college. To secure a seat in B.Com (Hons.) at Hansraj College, you will have to secure around 765+ (General), 710+ (OBC/EWS), 650+ (SC/ST) approx. in the CUET exam. This college is a really good option if you want to concentrate on academics solely.
The yearly fee for B.Com (Hons.) at Hansraj College is around Rs. 27,000/-. But this doesn't include the semester application fee we pay to the university which might be Rs. 2,000/- to Rs. 3,000/- every year, depending on the courses you choose. There are a lot of discounts, scholarships and financial aids available for students from specific categories and low-income groups.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of B.Com (Hons.) that I had so far are qualified with a minimum of M.Phil or PhD. Generally all professors are dedicated and are really helpful, some teachers however, can improve their teaching ways. All my professors are extremely well versed in their field of study and a few helpful professors like Barkha Ma'am, Meghna Malhotra Ma'am, Bharat Bhushan Sir, Manjit Sir, Manisha Verma Ma'am, and Sonal Sharma Ma'am have stepped out of their way to help me academically or non academically. The student-faculty ratio is a little less than 40:1.
 

Placement Rating
There is active internship and placement cell here. They conduct regular seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. Last year there were around 10 training and workshop sessions conducted by the cell. Companies like PWC and Accenture were a part of it. Apart from that, there were 5+ corporate competitions as well. Some renowned companies that visit our campus include Bain& Co, D.E. Shaw & Co, BCG, McKinsey, EY, PwC, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc. The average package was 9 LPA and highest was 23 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostel facilities but getting one is really competitive. The hostel accommodates around 200 male UG students and 30 female students of all categories. The hostel is within the campus itself. There are separate hostel for boys and girls. Food is purely vegetarian only. Hostel facilities are not to be availed by students from Delhi/NCR region. Once you secure admission in hostel, you will have to maintain an attendance of 75%, should not have an ER or any record of disciplinary action. The hostel fee is a bit high.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 3 academic blocks here. B block is generally only for Science students. The campus size is quite big and is located next to Kamala Nagar and Malka Ganj. The college has a library, labs, seminar halls, auditorium, canteen, sports ground facility. My favourite place is the sports ground. The labs are maintained well and the ACs in classrooms work well.
 

Campus Rating
Personally, my overall campus life has been average. The college crowd is high. There are a lot of clubs and societies and I was a part of Finance and Investment Cell. It was really fun and the societies do function really well. The college organises a bunch of extracurricular activities like ‘Khelo Hansraj’ and there is a fest every even semester.

It also allows you to interact with an excellent peer group.     If you want to do B.Com Hons. and BA Eco Hons. Or combination of commerce and eco, Hansraj is the best choice for sure. You will get help from seniors, great infrastructure and some good teachers as well. Societies add to this a lot. This college provides very good exposure in all fields like sports, science, dance, etc. Seniors are very supportive regarding academics and any college related queries.
