LSR DU's Average Package is 13 LPA

My experience at Lady Shri Ram College for Women New Delhi has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life. I chose this College because it has been consistently ranked to be one of the top Arts College in India and top women's College in India. Apart from that, the placements are the highest across DU. I never imagined I'll grow so much in last few years both personality wise and academically. This College supports your overall growth and you will never regret taking admission here.

I am studying B.A (Hons.) English with Psychology as minor. It was a choice I made seeing the amazing academic faculty at LSR New Delhi. I followed my love for Literature and it has given me more than I imagined! To get into this course, one has to give CUET after 12th Board exams, in which a student has to choose the combination of English + 3 subjects. In order to get in this College, you must have very good marks, and a nearly perfect score. Then after getting the result, you enter your preferences in the DU CUET portal, and it allots you the Colleges as per your marks. After entering, you have semester wise exam as well as internal exams and assignment submission in each semester. The course has been curated to promote the overall development of the student and to look at things critically & with empathy. It prepares you for real- life challenges in life.

The fee is around Rs. 20,000/- per year including the examination fees. The course is available for three years and four years, depending on the students’ choice. Special financial aid is provided for students with good academics within the College, depending upon their economic status - which can include a full waiver of fees or partial waiver of fees.

The faculty is one of the most amazing Literature faculty across DU. All members have studied M.A or Ph.D and have been teaching for many years. Some teachers have experience of 30+ years. They have written several research papers, academic books in our syllabus and many more. They use blackboards, movies, and group discussions to teach us well. There are about 100 students in my course that are allotted 8 faculty members per year. In total there are about 30+ faculty members. They are very approachable, engage in good intellectual discussions with the students and are very understanding.

The placement cell records the highest placements across DU and is very supportive and hardworking. They help the students get internships and placements, while holding a lot of helpful sessions (LSR alumni come as speakers) for students to navigate their College life and placements. Companies like BCG, DE Shaw, McKinsey, Bain, Accenture, Meesho, Cleanmax, NTT data, Gartner, Nomura, etc. come to our campus. The highest package recorded is 49 LPA and average package recorded is 13 LPA.

The infrastructure is very good, amazing! There are 2 main buildings in the College and classes are held in both. The capacity per classroom is pretty good, and the campus size is about 15 acres. It is the greenest campus with a lot of plants and trees across DU. The library has over 3000 books and is extensive and well equipped. The halls, labs, auditorium, and conference halls are in very good condition, hosting speakers from across India and international. The canteen is pretty good, with good food, seatings and they also have a Nescafe. The medical facilities and security are top notch. My favourite place in the College is Nescafe, in the Psych Block. The big glass windows in the new building really help study Literature in natural light.

The overall campus life is beyond amazing, with very intellectual and competitive crowd. The students are always excelling at something or the other, which in turn motivates you to grow and be your best. There are over 20 societies, with CDF, Enactus, P-cell, Drama society, Dance Society etc. being one of the topmost societies. The sports faculty, NCC is good and many students take part in these. The fest is one of the most celebrated fests across DU, hosting a lot artists, activities and fun. My overall experience has been extremely fulfilling and I can say with guarantee, you will never ever regret entering this College.
