LSR College for Women New Delhi is ranked 4th in Arts and Commerce as per India Today. The College has its prestige and magic. My journey was surely a roller coaster ride. The crowd of this College is incredibly competitive and talented which make this College different from others. The students of other countries can also take admission in this College. The College opens multiple doors for its students but they need to be prepared in advance to grab those opportunities.

I chose B.Com (Hons.) in this College because of my interests in Accounts and Finance. I believed this course would be my gateway to the world of opportunities in the field of Commerce. For admission in this College students’ needs to appear for the CUET exam. My score was 780 out of 800. Though there are no cutoff marks but students need to score 700 to enroll in my course. Based on your preference list the College will be allotted to you. Prepare the NCERTs well to score good in the exam.

The fee of my course is Rs. 21,685/-. The fee will be different for every course. The students of SC/ST/OBC and students of general category from financial week background can apply for scholarship. I am not aware of the exact amount of discount the students get.

Overall the faculty of my course is quiet good especially the professors, we got in our second and third year. All the faculty members have done Ph.D and have immense knowledge beyond the books. Please be in good relations with your professors and I assure you they will be your best career guide. However, when it comes to balancing academics with preparation for additional courses, the students have to be self dependent as the chances of external help is very less. The teachers of this College are great.

The LSR College of Women New Delhi has an active placement cell. The cell is run by the students and two professors. The student will get the opportunity to be a part of the placement cell right from the first year as an associate. The application form can open anytime during the year, so students have to be prepared for it from the beginning. They conduct various sessions with industry experts, professionals, speakers, and LSR Alumni. The internship cell committee also works under the placement cell. The students will be added to a common group and the opportunities will be shared throughout the year in that group. Almost 50+ companies, firms, NGOs, and startups come to our campus each year such as BCG, Bain, McKinsey, Kepler Cannon, DE Shaw, Accenture, Deloitte, AB INBev, Redseer, Godrej, Amazon, Nomura, NTT Data, KPMG, Gartner, Nation With NaMo, etc. The companies only take 2-3 students but few companies have also done a mass hiring of 7 or more students. The highest package offered in 2025 batch was up to 40 LPA. I believe the placement cell can be more active in terms of active preparation of students for placement by conducting dedicated classes separately for placements such as aptitude, guesstimate solving, case studies, finance questions, etc. I got a PPO from a startup company named Kivart. But since I was preparing for CA I didn't accept offer. The average CTC offer that the majority of students got was approximately 8 LPA to 9 LPA.

The hostels are available for the students of first year only. There are 3 types of rooms such as single sharing, double sharing, and triple sharing. Hostel time was the best time of the College. The food was really good and the hostel offer 4 times meal system. The hostel timings were 7:00AM to 7:45 PM. Students will also need to have the permission of the guardians to apply for the leave and also the same procedure if you want to enter after 7:45 PM. Students can roam in the College campus and there were no time restrictions on it. The hostel fee is up to Rs. 63,000/- with Rs.5000/- as a security deposit.

The College infrastructure is average. There are two major buildings one old and one new building. The campus has two libraries, seminar hall, conference hall, and a canteen. The labs and canteen are average and can be improved. The College also has many outlets. The sports area is great which is well equipped with all the necessities. The College also has a medical room with paid facilities. The classrooms of new building look good. The auditorium is spacious with fans installed for proper ventilation. One thing that leaves everyone in awe is its campus. It is beautiful and has lush green trees and plants. You will also find small squirrels and dogs that will make your day.

The campus life is exciting in this College. The fests held at this College are fun. We have our annual fest Tarang, it's the best fest of the College. In this fest they invite great artists and this is the only fest where outsiders are allowed. For NSS they also conduct a fest called Noor. Moreover, every department conducts its departmental fest each year. My department holds Annual meet called Comquest. In this meet various students from different Colleges take part and win prizes. Everyone would be either busy with internships, skill building, case competitions, societies, and much more. Please be a part of any one society. I also took part in various adventure camps and it was a great experience. Coming to societies this College has multiple societies such as IFSA, Delta Analytics Cell, Enactus, Marketing Society, Consulting society, Placement cell, etc. Overall the campus, societies, fests, clubs are the best.
