Holistic Development at RRU Ahmedabad

Overall Rating
RRU Ahmedabad offers a fair mix of extracurricular, academics and many opportunities. Like various other educational Institutions our University have some strengths and some short comings too. Shortcomings though are very few and one of them would be the location. Overall it has been a great learning experience both inside and outside the classroom at this University.
 

Academics Rating
Defense & Strategic studies are a program that is not available at many universities. Among all of those, this University is the best in my opinion. We are taught a wide variety of topics ranging from international relations to foreign policy and ancient weapons. A lot of operations and case studies are discussed and how the operations were carried out is the core of our academics. RSET entrance is mandatory for getting admission for this course and after that, it is followed with a small interview round. In my interview I was just asked basic questions about Geopolitics.
The fee structure for my course is Rs. 84,000/- per year. Moreover, various scholarships are also provided to the state students by the University. Students from other states can also avail scholarship if they are eligible.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at the University is very knowledgeable, and all of them hold a rich background in their expertise. Most of the faculty members have worked for the Government in the past and a lot of them are researchers too. They teach us about a wide variety of topics like, wars, geopolitics, international relations, how foreign policies are designed, what happened in cold war, etc. Studying under them or through them is a privilege that can't be described in words.
 

Placement Rating
Students who study this course generally have a wide range of opportunities in top Government agencies which deal with national security.
 

Hostel Rating
As of now, there are only two boys’ hostels and over 800+ students reside in them. The hostel fee is around Rs. 51,000/- per semester. The rooms of the hostel are average, with common washrooms, and the gym and study area at the hostels and mess is decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The University’s infrastructure in my view is one of the best. We have a huge campus surrounded by a wide variety of trees which bear beautiful flowers. The air is fresh and it is very peaceful to be at the University’s campus. The only drawback of the University’s campus id its location. The nearest good restaurant is 20-25 minutes away from the campus but our university has fixed that by having four cafeterias at the campus itself. Medical facilities and sports facilities are also great.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at RRU Ahmedabad is very amazing and fun. Seminars are organized from time to time and various renowned people from defense forces are also invited to take guest lectures. Along with the great academics, we have a sports week and fests as well. As a student, I was able to develop myself, not just academically, but physically and mentally too because of the wide array of activities available to pursue here.

    A university about which I never heard of until I entered my class 12th and all of a sudden, I made it a point that I would study only at RRU. Finally, I relaxed the day i entered the college and lived for few days there.     Blessing in disguise, as I missed on NLUs & NFSU and this was indeed my third choice. I am from Rajasthan, We consider Gujarat as our sister state and therefore, as soon as I got admission here, my family happily agreed. Thanks to them for doing so, as our college teach us using survival of the fittest method. There are many courses to choose from. However, it is still better than most of the private universities....     RRU Ahmedabad presents us opportunities to work in elite public sector. Cyber threats have increased past Covid and therefore I chose this course as firstly not many Universities offer this course and secondly even if few Universities have this course, they are not as reputable as RRU....     I chose Rashtriya Raksha University over other Universitys due to the course it provides which is B.Tech CSE with specialization in Cyber Security.     Rashtriya Raksha University offers many specializations in B.Tech CSE. I have chosen Cyber Security. The college itself is related to security so it provides a better exposure of Cyber Security.
