My Campus Life in VELS University Chennai: Good Academics & Infrastructure

Overall Rating
I am someone who has a great passion towards life sciences. I have tried to make an impact on my career and I feel like I have acknowledged many countless opportunities to explore. This University offers an excellent blend of academic and personal development. In this University, you will get various opportunities and you will get to explore various things.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech where you find endless research opportunities and you will learn to solve existing problems. For admission, you should have Math subject in your 10+2. The admission process is quite easy. The exams are conducted thrice per semester. Overall the academic of this University is average.
The fee of the course I have opted is around Rs. 1,00,000/- per year. The fee increases every year. The VELS University Chennai offers various scholarships to the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this University are so friendly and kind. They will help you and clear all your doubts. The teaching methods include blackboards, PPTs, etc. They provide theoretical and practical sessions to the students. The faculty is approachable so you don’t have to hesitate to ask any doubt. I had a good bonding with the faculty members.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University has a placement cell which helps students in placements. It provides training and makes you industry ready. Several renowned companies like IBM, Zifo, Blubridge, Accenture, TCS, etc. visits our campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University provides residential facilities to both male and female students separately. The mess provides hygienic and good quality of food to all the students. It provides three time meal. The hostel fee is around Rs. 1,00,000/- per year. The students are allowed to go out twice or thrice a weak.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of VELS University Chennai is good and we have more than 7 blocks such as APJ block, Edison block, MGR block, etc. The classrooms are equipped with modern amenities. The campus has labs, library, canteens, conference hall, etc. The University also provides transportation service to the students. The labs are fully equipped with computers and the classrooms are also well-maintained. Overall, the campus provides all the facilities the students need.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life so far is great. There are various clubs such as Rotary, Yuva club, etc. for the students. I am a member of BIS club. Each club organise their own activities and events. The University also conducts various extracurricular activities which help you stay active and explore your talent and interest. The events like “Nakshtra” & “VELS STARS” are two big events that take place every year. Various other workshops are also conducted in this University.

    My overall experience at VELS University is good. The faculties are very supportive and friendly. They encourage us to participate in competitions. There are plenty of opportunities available for the students which will help in their personal growth. Infrastructure is well maintained and I have learnt several things here.     Hello, talking about my overall experience, this University is actually the best. The infrastructure is not same as I expected but the education system is literally awesome.
