B.A. LL.B (Honors): The law programs on offer, including the B.A. LLB (Honors) enjoy approval from Bar Council of India. In fact, VELS established the ‘School of Law’ with blessing from BCI. Students get to make the most of the infrastructural facilities including ICT resources, Wi-Fi linkage, computer lab, language lab etc. Besides the university’s own lecturers and professors, well-known legal practitioners also take classes.
Graduates armed with a B.A. LLB degree can desire to become successful lawyers, advocates and attorneys. An aspirant for this undergraduate law program needs to pass the 10+2/higher secondary exam of any approved education board. However, final admission will depend on marks secured in the VELS entrance exam.
BCA: The 3-year BCA program of VELS equips students with knowledge about theoretical concepts relating to information technology. Students also attend value-based training sessions that enable them to apply their knowledge. BCA students take advantage of highly modern lab facilities and make the most of a distinct hardware laboratory.
The students get to browse through almost 13,000 e-journals and also exploit many other learning aids and tools. A candidate has to clear the higher secondary exam from a recognized education board with statistics, mathematics/computer science, and business mathematics as compulsory subjects. The University also conducts a merit-based entrance exam for drawing up the ultimate admission list.
BE: The academy offers a string of BE programs, all courses having a timeline of 4 years. The candidate can choose to purse his or her BE in civil, automobile, CSE, biomedical, ECE, marine, EEE, and mechanical engineering. Any student willing to take up the institution’s BE course must have passed the 10+2 examination in the science stream. Out of 4 compulsory subjects, three of these have to be physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Students who have cleared the diploma in technology or engineering can apply through the lateral entry mode. The candidates with diploma certificates will begin studying directly from the 3rd semester onwards. Additionally, students having a B. Sc degree can also apply for admission to the program via the lateral entry route.
BPT: The Bachelor of Physiotherapy program runs for 4 academic years following which the students have to complete 6 month training. Once the students finish their training, they can apply for jobs in healthcare centers, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. The applicant has to secure at least 50% marks in biology/botany & zoology, chemistry and physics in aggregate in 10+2.
