
The VELS University or VISTAS Chennai offers on-campus residential facilities separately to the male & female students. The hostel facilities are also available for International students. The buildings of the UG & PG students’ hostels are different and are equipped with world-class facilities to provide a secure and comfortable staying experience to the hostellers.
The hostels at the VELS University comprise more than 300 rooms that have an accommodation capacity of 1000+ residents. The VELS University hostel rooms are offered to the students with AC & non-AC options on a multiple sharing basis.
Students looking forward to avail the residential facilities are required to pay VELS University hostel fee of Rs. 40,500/- (per semester). The hostel and mess fee are to be paid before the specified dates.
* The University has the authority to modify the fee structure from time to time that will be applicable to both existing and newly admitted hostellers.
The hostels present at the VELS University Chennai Campus houses a range of facilities in order to provide a conducive learning environment to the students. There are separate accommodation facilities for the students pursuing UG & PG programs and for the International students.
Several boys’ hostels are available at the campus namely, Sapphire, Diamond, Emerald, Coral, etc. and the girls’ hostels are named Ruby, Pearl (UG), Pearl (PG), and so on. There are 300+ AC & non-AC rooms that are allotted to the residents on a double, triple, and quadruple sharing basis.
Mess halls are available at the hostels where students are served with hygienically prepared wholesome and vegetarian & non-vegetarian multi-cuisine meal options. At the hostels, Sports events are conducted for the students to improve their physical & mental health. Furthermore, medical professionals are available to provide emergency medical assistance to the residents.

Students at VELS University are expected to follow a presentable dress code instructed by the University. However, sleeveless dresses & T-shirts are not allowed within the campus.

Yes, the Anti-Ragging Committee of the University frequently inspects the residential premises for any cases of ragging & harassment taking place against the students. If any such cases are found, strict actions are taken against those residents at fault.
