Events Like Urja, Dholida & Spandan are Organised by UPES Dehradun

My experience in this University is wonderful. The life here is not only just limited to the classroom but it this University will also provide hands on experience by conducting various competitions. You will get to learn from experienced faculty members. This University offers a blend of intense learning, growth, and self discovery. If you are good students and know how to grab opportunities then this is a best University for you.

The University offers various courses such as Engineering, Business, Media, Aeronautics, Liberal Studies, B.A LL.B, B.Com, etc. It also offers several specializations. The curriculum is well-designed; it gives theoretical and provides practical exposure to the students. The academics sharpen the students in critical thinking. The admission process is very smooth and you can take admission in this University through your CLAT scores, CUET, or UPES which University’s entrance exam. Overall, the academics of this University are great.

From my opinion, the fee structure of this University is quite high.

The faculty members of my department are very experienced and they have good knowledge in their respective field. Most of the teachers have studied from top Institutes. They are always open for feedbacks and teach the topics in an easier manner. They always encourage students to not just listen but argue critically to understand any subject and relate to the contemporary situation. They are easily approachable and never restrict students from communicating. Whenever you face any problem related to a particular subject you can approach the faculty members. They are not just professors; they are like mentors who will guide you at every step. Overall, the faculty members of my course are welcoming and helpful.

The infrastructure has developed according to the hill area, and the campus is surrounded with mountains. The UPES Dehradun has two campuses. In Kandoli, we have 4 academic blocks. The campus has 1 auditorium, 2 moot courts, and AR/VR lab. The washrooms are always clean and it maintains proper hygiene. There are several food outlets such as Dominos, etc. The campus has gym area with limited slot. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and can accommodate around 50 to 60 students at a time. The University also provides shuttle services and sports facilities for games like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, etc. The corridor outside the office is quiet peaceful where I do my work in the evening with my coffee in the rainy days. The library is one of the most important features which do not provides the books and materials but you can issue the novels from it.

The Campus life till now is really amazing. The students get enough time after the class. You will get to enjoy jamming sessions, bonfires during winters, and various others. In my department there are 10+ committees and I was a part of the Technology society. The DSW society organised amazing fest like “Urja”, “Dholida”, and “Spandan”. Singers like Darshan Rawal, Javed Ali, Dj Aerreo, Dj Sukhbir, etc. have performed in the fests. The campus life here is really amazing.
