LPU MBA Review By Deepak Jaiswal

Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar is a private university situated in the state of Punjab with really good infrastructure and this university is very famous university in the North India. I took admission in the School of Management in 2020 after one year of my graduation. In my two year in the university I learned a lot from the faculty and also from the management and also from the personality trainers present in the university. My best experience was to teach to the BBA student because it made me realize that I have good teaching skills and I can convince other. I choose this particular university because one of my colleagues told me that there is very good career growth after doing MBA from good university so I opt the LPU and is other can connect to my cause can join the university because I got good package from the university in my fourth semester.

I enrolled in LPU for Master of Business Administration in Financial Markets which is related to the market growth and the analysis of the financial market and this course is trending right now in India. Some of the subjects in the course are Market Management, Mutual Funds, Financial reporting and analysis, and Corporate financing which was really hard to understand from me because I was from a technical background and I also did not study these subjects in 10+2 also. For admission in the course one should have done their graduation in any stream from any university around the world with minimum percentage according to the cutoff which is around 60 percent. There are four terms or semesters in MBA and first two semesters has 7 subjects and last two semesters has 6 subjects. And from the third semester academic load is reduced due to the placement process.

All the personality and soft skill faculty members were very good and they really help in the company interview and they personally guided me for the process of hiring. And some of the teachers were also good but majority of faculty members were not good and their style of teaching was very boring and I did slept in one or two lecture of the teacher in the subjects of Career planning. But some teachers of the subjects Corporate Financing, Bank Office operations, Business Analytics, Marketing Management and all the soft skill teachers were very good and they even support me for preparing for the final term examination with personal guidance in the course curriculum. Talking about the teachers background all the teacher had good qualification and work experience with good teaching methodology.

Companies start their visit to the university after the completion of the second semester and they made us eligible to sit in the placements. The criteria of the percentage in first year for the eligible to be part of the placements depend on the company because some company require 60 percentage in first year and some 70 or 80 it all depend on the company requirement and their standards. Other than percentage one must not have only backlogs in the semester exam to sit in the hiring process. There are also many internship opportunities are present in the campus itself with stipend and we can also seek for the internships in Multi National Companies. Many respected company visit the campus for the hiring and some of such companies provide average package of 10 LPA for the School of Management and In my batch there was 100 percent placement which means everyone got placed and got a job including me.

Hostel facilities are very good in LPU because they provide rooms like apartment and depending upon the size of the room it can be 1, 2 or 3 sharing and fee for the hostel also increases from 3 seater to 1 seater and there are also rooms with air-conditioning. All the rooms are attached to the washrooms. Hostel stay is not mandatory for all courses but it is mandatory for the MBA students to live in the campus and we cannot take room outside the university. College hostel students get many extra facilities like free world class gym with all new equipment and with free transportation service nearby the campus area. Talking about the hostel room so it is pretty much look like apartment and the bed size is also good and they already provide all type of amenities so we do not need to purchase anything for the room and also the mess in here in the college is also better than my expectations.

The Infrastructure of the LPU is beyond imagination and they charge for that as you think. LPU has tie up many good companies like IBM Computers, Google, Larson & Turbo, Intel, Microsoft and Cisco etc. There are many garden in the university area and this university is spread over 600 acres of area and there are more than 60 buildings in the college and each building had more than 70 rooms in it so as you can thing how big is this university. For the transportation inside the campus we can use cycle which is available in the university area. University is filled with solar panel and it makes 50 percent electricity from the solar panel and in future it will make 100 percent electricity. Classrooms are good and they look like hotel rooms because they are much decorated and well finished. A drought resistant plant is also available in the university which is very active and done very usable work. Overall infrastructure of the LPU is amazing and beautiful.

Life in LPU campus is good and provides many different experience with many great facilities. There are many opportunities in the university and many opportunities we can avail while studying and in our free time we can work in the college labs and in other workshops and we can earn up to Rs. 20000 per month based upon our skill and the work we do in the college. Talking about the fest in the university there are various fest that happen every month in the campus ground and my favorite event is DJ night and the experience we get in this night is out of this world. Many clubs are formed and deformed in the university and if you start counting the no of clubs in the university then you will lose count but there are some good clubs which are very famous naming Mperial Society of creators, KALAM, IGNITABLES. Association of Engineer and Entrepreneur. There are more than 25000 students in the university so the crowd here in the university is very vibrant.
