Opinion Over UMIT Mumbai: Teachers, Placement, and Events

Overall Rating
The experience throughout has been great, except for the sleepless nights before viva and exams, which is inevitable as an Engineer. One should definitely choose this Institute if you want to stay focused and away from any distractions because this it does offer that kind of environment for you to develop your skills and knowledge. It also provides great placements and if you are consistent, enough in lectures getting a straight 9 pointer is best.
 

Academics Rating
I am from Computer Science branch at UMIT Mumbai. I enrolled because my uncle suggested and as I explored through the various subjects I really got interested in subjects like networking and operating systems. The eligibility was to get 60 to 70+ score in MHTCET.
I had to pay about Rs. 1,00,000/- as a fee. but I got a scholarship from a foundation, which was in tie-ups with the Institute so my entire fees were weaved. There abroad foundations are offering scholarships
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders so they have deep information about the core subjects. They use various methods like PPTs and practical work or online classrooms to share notes and study material. Faculty is very understanding and helpful. They will guide you with the projects like Industry Professionals. I have been a regular student and it never really got boring for me in the classroom because of the way teachers keep you engaged with the subject.
 

Placement Rating
The placement opportunities are the best in this Institute. Many companies visit the campus for the placement & Internships. The Institute also offers funding if you have an startup idea,
 

Hostel Rating
At UMIT Mumbai, hostel is good. I stayed in the hostel for the last three and had no complains. From there, it is also easy access to gym and the library so I can study whenever I want to.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are multiple departments in the campus other than Engineering like Fashion Designing and Food Technology etc. The library has great collection of exam papers and many subject related books. Classrooms are airy and with a chill vibe. The canteen is amazing. My favorite part of this is the library. The labs are well equipped. Different clubs and an incubation centre are there for students who want to work over their start-up.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is great. The crowd is amazing. The fests are great and honestly, it is fun to hang out with friends. Due to the presence of several departments, the events keep happening through the year around and you are welcome to participate and watch even if you are from a different department.
