Overall Rating
This University has a totally different environment. It gives a great experience in studying along with a correct guidance for personality development. I have particularly chosen this one due to its resources. It also has great lab resources for researchers. Every faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. Another great thing about this University is that it focuses on extracurricular along with studies as well.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Biomedical Engineering cause of my interest in research & Medical Devices. I have passion in designing new devices and implants. To apply for this course you need a minimum of 60% in 12th and need to give an LPUNEST exam. at LPU Jalandhar, so far, I have worked on multiple projects and did research training as well. The level of exams is pretty good and competitive and prepares for future.
The fee for my course is Rs. 1,40,000/- but I got 45% scholarship so I pay Rs. 77,000/- per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well-qualified and teach beyond just theory. They make presentations but only for reference the actual study is supposed to be done by students also they keep updating on real life requirements by the companies and works. We keep updating resume according to the requirements. The class usually consists of 50 students and teachers are always available according to the requirement. Teachers and mentors are also very helpful.
 

Placement Rating
My department has 80% placement rate. Also, highest CTC is 12 LPA and average package offered to students is 6 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, I am staying in hostel and it has good facilities like mess, laundry, gym, and departmental stores . The timings varies according to season. the hostel charges are Rs. 70,000/- per year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is very huge which makes it almost impossible to walk from one end to other, without getting tired. However, they have golf cart services, which make it easy to travel. It also has library where every books is available. Auditorium named Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium is also there. They also have food courts in every department, which makes it really comfortable and accessible. They have swimming pools and sports arenas.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is really fun. They keep on organising carnivals and if you are a business owner, you can also put up your own stalls. Lots of events are held from time to time by management of LPU Jalandhar. They celebrate every festival (from Indian to International). Overall, it is really good.

  • Lovely Professional 'mediocre' university

    To be honest this college was not my first choice I attempted IPMAT exam for admission in IIM Indore but couldn't crack it. So I went through lot of websites on internet and came across LPU. They were providing this course under 15 lakhs whereas other colleges like Nirma had fees up to 30 lakhs. When I came to University I was amazed to see it's beautiful campus, large and surrounded by gardens and trees. People from all over India are there in LPU and there is no ragging.     The University is awesome in terms of infrastructure, education, placements etc. The factor that made me to choose this one was its quality of education. The programs that University runs like EDUATION-revolution are mostly prominent that no University is giving in my opinion.
