LPU Jalandhar has Qualified Faculty Members

Overall Rating
The University is awesome in terms of infrastructure, education, placements etc. The factor that made me to choose this one was its quality of education. The programs that University runs like EDUATION-revolution are mostly prominent that no University is giving in my opinion. It also funds student for their startups & also gives guidance for the same.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B. Tech CSE. Eligibility criteria be Class 12th passed student. After that, you have to appear for LPUNEST. You can also join through JEE Main scorecard. Admission process is simple fill an application through online mode. The exams are not that much frequent. The academics help us in real-life.
The course fee when I joined without scholarship was Rs. 1,20,000/- after giving LPUNEST exam. They are discounts for students who perform great in sports. Yes, there is financial aid for defense wards. Other scholarships are available as well.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the teachers are highly qualified (GATE, UGC NET, etc.). The method of teaching was using whitebeard, PPTs, GDs, project explanations, etc. The student to teacher ratio is around 50:1 Each teacher has minimum 1+ year experience. The teachers have high in their subject’s perspective. In addition, all the students are treated equally.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell is very good. It plays a crucial role means it shortlists the student for companies, and checks criteria. The cell conducts preparatory classes during summer. The placement experience was good.
 

Hostel Rating
The University offers hostels. There are 7 to 10 boys’ hostels. The girls and boys’ hostels are separate. Mess food was average in taste. Hostel fee is around Rs. 1,00,000/- per year for AC 4 seater rooms. There are hostel rules and timings. There are strict rules for hostellers for going out of campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are nearly 60 blocks for hostels and academics. The campus area is around 600 acres. The classroom seating was 70 students. There is library, auditorium, labs seminar halls, conference hall, etc. There are canteens within University. There is transport facility within campus as well.
 

Campus Rating
The overall life within campus was quite good. The University crowd as very high. Clubs like Google Developers, Amazon Cloud, and others are there. I am not part of any that. Many workshops, hackathons, and Ideathons happen in every week.

  • Lovely Professional 'mediocre' university

    To be honest this college was not my first choice I attempted IPMAT exam for admission in IIM Indore but couldn't crack it. So I went through lot of websites on internet and came across LPU. They were providing this course under 15 lakhs whereas other colleges like Nirma had fees up to 30 lakhs. When I came to University I was amazed to see it's beautiful campus, large and surrounded by gardens and trees. People from all over India are there in LPU and there is no ragging.     My overall experience in LPU Jalandhar is average. It has balanced exposure between academics and sports. The factor that made me choose this University is that a lot of companies visit here for hiring.
