Overall Rating
Overall UIET Kanpur is an average college. It was founded in 1996 and a self financed engineering college. It is a good college to pursue BCA but an average college for engineering. Here campus placement is also very low for tech field and almost zero for core field. If you are pursuing your graduation from UIET Kanpur then you have to work hard and work on your skills to get your dream job.
 

Academics Rating
In UIET Kanpur the facilities provided by the institute for the students is good the lab equipments are new and the specialized labs and workshops are also well maintained. To get in this college the one should be 12th pass and the admission is done on the basis of JEE marks and counseling. If one wants to prepare for the higher competitive exams like CAT or GATE then this college is perfect for you because here you will get decent amount of free time to do preparation for the competitive exams.
 

Faculty Rating
Here faculties are average, some faculties are really very good and highly qualified but some just don't know to teach the students. Behaviour of faculty members are also not good with students. They just wants you to write what they have taught you in class and no other information in exams. Here getting passed in exams is really very tough you have to study hard otherwise you will fall in backs.
 

Placement Rating
Placement in this college is not good. Companies rarely visit in the campus and those who visit does not gives the good package here maximum one can get of 4 lakh per annum package. There is no placement for a core branches in this college.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. Infrastructure of the hostels are good. Hostels are well maintained, cleaning of washrooms is done on regular basis but the mess food is not good. Facilities provided are good like RO water. Coolers and AC rooms are not available. There are 2 boys’ hostel and 4 girls’ hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This college has good and big campus which have well maintained and good infrastructure, it is a best thing in this college, in this campus there is well built auditorium in which different cultural activities and functions gets organized. There is also a big lecture hall in this college and also it consists of separate building for every course provided by this college. This college also have stadium for students which consists of basketball court and volleyball court and cricket ground. Cafeteria is also there in campus.
 

Campus Rating
This is what lacks in this college. There are no cultural fest and sports activities in the college. There is no clubs in this college they only focus on your academics but not on other activities but you will make memories with students in this campus. Crowd is also good here. But there is no sports tournament here.

    It has been one year in this college and my overall experience is good. This college gave me environment in which I made many friends and learnt few new skills as well. I had some issues with teacher's teaching methods but overall experience is very good. I got 274 thousand ranks in JEE Mains 2022 and UIETs counselling and got CSE-AI branch.     My JEE mains ranks was low around 112 k and UIET Kanpur offered me CSE even at this rank and moreover this institute lies inside the Kanpur University that made me to choose this institute.     I am studying at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University and I am perusing my B.Tech in Computer Science from this university. It’s a really wonderful college of engineering in Uttar Pradesh. It has a big campus. It has one of the biggest college stadium in Uttar Pradesh. In this college we have many type of stadiums like cricket, and volleyball and badminton.     Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur is one of the best universities in U P. It provides many courses and engineering is one of them. The university campus life and infrastructure is very good. It provides many facilities like hostel for both girls and boys, gym, swimming etc. Faculty of the university is very friendly in nature.
