Sri Venkateswara College B.A Review By Anmol Bhat

This college has shaped and made me a hardworking and a focused student. It has provided so many amenities like elections campaigns and College fest NEXUS which actually make one's communication and leadership quality strong. This institution has proved that it is actually worth its name and it actually shapes and builds one's whole student life whether being politically strong or academically strong. It is anti-ragging college and students over here are taught to help and motivate each other. It is more a fun and exploring place for the students who are shy and introvert.

This college according to the NIRF ranking was one of the top 5 colleges of Delhi University in 2019. The college provided graduation and post graduation for the students which included foreign students too. It also provides different language courses like French, German etc. The cutoff for Venkateswara goes from 99% to 95% for all the subjects accept Sanskrit as the cutoff of this particular subject is 70% max. There are different quota's when the cutoff comes for e.g.: SC/ST, OBC, PWD, KM (Kashmiri migrant quota).

Sri Venkateswara has the best faculty of all times as teaching for them was not always a pen and a paper it was more than that we were taken for outdoor outings to understand a particular subject. As a student of BA programme we were once taken out for a field trip for EVS subject to Yamuna bank and the diversity it was a perfect understanding of the subject and moreover created a good relationship between a student and a teacher.

Sri Venkateswara had its own placement cell. The placement cell use to conduct its own internship fair where all the students were invited to visit the fair and choose and apply in their dream company and the wait for the companies offer to take them onboard. The companies use to provide the students with employment and internship opportunities. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture come on the campus with their package and select the most deserving student.

Sri. Venkateswara hostel life has always been a great source of happiness and joy for me it has removed my homesickness most of the time. The college hostel provides many evening activities for the students and an open place for outsiders too for e.g.: Badminton, Volleyball and sometimes outsiders enjoying the evening snack of the hostel mates.

The campus is blessed by an amazing library which has been a source of quite learning for everyone apart from that the basketball court and the very famous cricket ground for the cricket lovers which was always filled with cheering voices and smiles. The ICT lab with ACs in summer’s perfect place for students to chill. The building really says a lot when we see the canteen which was always surrounded by the students saying 'MAHESH BHAIYA EK DHOSA'. The auditorium which is surrounded by different societies performing for different events.

The campus life is as amazing as you can expect the election phase where the college is filled with screams of Ballot No's. The college fest of Sri Venkateswara college NEXUS which is the best phase of one's life a three day fest including celebrity singers like Jubin Nautiyal, Kailash Kher, Amit Trivedi. The various societies of the college that perform in the college for the students and WDC the women development cell that takes its own Pride march for the LGBTQ community is a view to watch. The college staff provides a safe space for the third gender that makes a difference that how democratic college life you will be enjoying.
