Chandigarh University B.Tech Review By Ishan Sagar

As I'm studying in the university from 2020 in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering and I chose this university after my 12th examination as I was not able to clear JEE Main and other private universities were way too costly for a bachelor's program as it costs at least of 24 Lakhs for 4-year Bachelors. I chose Chandigarh University. As a university student my overall experience is pretty good, the environment and ambience are good and infrastructure is top class.

I'm pursuing Computer Science and Engineering and for selection in this course we have to clear an examination CUCET and on clearing this scholarship benefits are provided. For Computer Science and Engineering, you just need a laptop and some knowledge of computer basics other than that everything is taught during 4 years from hardware to software to microchips and all. We learn how to communicate with machine using different languages and how to create your own app or website and how to manage it.

In my honest thoughts, faculty is not the top level but not low level also. Most of teachers teaching CSE are engineer themselves and some even have masters and Ph.D's in their respective field. Some teachers have very good understanding of their subjects, and some know how to teach students so that they understand the concept and implement it practically like competitive coding or AI models and many more.

The campus is established in a very huge piece of land and for a single person it will be difficult to cover every place in campus on foot in a day. Buildings are pretty cool, and classrooms are huge with Air conditioners and Wi-Fi installed. Labs have best computers that a person can find. If we talk about overall campus, we can travel using e-rickshaws in campus and there are parks everywhere for having garden experience and in whole it is one of the best places to hang out with friends or do your work.

University has a lot of students from different courses, so it gets crowded during afternoon sessions but due to widespread area it doesn't bother much other than classes off time. The university organise many fests like CU fest or Tashan nights in which different celebrities come and perform and even promote their films and songs. It's also active for live shooting of some of the Web series. CU also organise different cultural fest in which students from different backgrounds represent themselves and perform their traditional dances in public.
