Jesus and Mary College, affiliated with Delhi University is an All-Girls College located in Chanakyapuri and a part of the South Campus. As the name suggests, this is a Christian College and has some seats reserved for the girls belonging to the Christian Community. Enrollments begin in the month of April. To apply Here, One has to fill the College Form in addition to the common DU Form. The Nearest Metro Station is Satya-Niketan, from where one can hire an auto-rickshaw or choose 10 minutes to walk.

With its Peach and Red Bricks Building surrounded by loads of greenery, Broad Roads outside, standing amidst Elite Embassies, the College stands out from the Rest of the South Campus! Just Opposite to it is Maitreyi College which is also a part of Delhi University, South Campus. Not just academic interests, one gets a chance to explore a variety of Extra-Curricular Activities by Joining Societies, that are available to enroll as soon as the Session Starts. One can find a mixed crowd in terms of Religion, Cultural, and Economic background.

I enrolled myself into BA Sociology Hons. This was on the basis of the marks scored in the 12th Board Examinations. There are no Entrance Exams as such for any course. The admissions are solely conducted on the basis on Cut Offs and grades which is the Calculation of marks in Four Best Subjects of which English is a compulsory subject. Sociology is an Uprising Subject. It is best for the One who is looking forward to appearing for IAS exams. One can pursue Masters or Law after this to be able to explore more jobs in the field. Subjects of the course are apt and have laid my major foundation of the Subject.

In total there are 15 Faculties at the moment. All of them are best! Teachers are immensely good at what they do. Some are new and makes you feel like they are your friends while also being good at their work. However, some have many years of experience and still connect well with the students. I have called teachers personally and all of them answered my calls and entertained me well!

Experience years of teachers range from 0 years-10 years. Some Teachers are young, appointed on an Ad-Hoc basis, who are still pursuing their Doctorate Degree. One the other hand, the Old and reputed ones have their Doctorate Degree along with numerous years of Teaching Experience, holding a permanent position in the Department.

The Placement Cell is yet another outstanding feature of Jesus and Mary College. The Placement Cell works commendably to bring in new companies. Not only this, but they also assist in Resume Building and Personality Development. Internships are provided and workshops are also conducted. However, one has to be alert for the notifications of placements and take efforts by herself to grab the best opportunities.

Some of the Companies hiring students are Deloitte, Frankfinn Aviation, Ernst and Young, Axis Bank, Wipro, Accenture etc. Some of my classmates and Juniors took advantage of the placements! Students from B.Com and B Sc. courses get better packages as compared to BA Students.

There is no Hostel Facility as such. However, A lot of PGs are easily available within 3-4Kms of Distance.

From Cafeteria to Common Room, Library to Amphitheater, Gymnasium to Laboratories, Medical Facilities to Seminar Rooms, it's got all in its Vast Vicinity. It's got everything one can think of! Laboratories are well equipped for some practical courses. Sports ground covers one-third of the Total Area. Not just this, One forth area accounts for the inbuilt Park Area where one can sit and Relax.

All the more, one can see beautiful Rock view at back and nearby the Auditorium. Car Parking is available for the Faculty members only.

The campus life is good enough. Fests, activities, seminars are an integral part of the entire Delhi University not just JMC. One can enjoy the Campus life more by engaging in Cultural and Literal Societies. Since the college is located in an Elite Diplomatic Area, it is very safe for girls though the streets are often empty.

Cafe Coffee Day Nearby is a cool place to chill in between class-gaps. Satya-Niketan is another amazing place to hang out with friends where there are cool cafes and restaurants. Lastly, we cannot miss talking about the College Canteen where there are a variety of Cuisines. The food here is hygienic and pocket friendly! The Campus is Neat and Clean!
