Life at NITK

Overall Rating
NITK college is very good for it students. If you can get admission by fill form in NIMCET examination. If you have secured rank under 100, than you are eligible. Campus is very big and nearby NH 66 and Arab Sagar beach. My experience is very good as the study environment is peaceful.
 

Academics Rating
MCA is Master of Computer Application is the best course for if you want to have career in this field. If you have above 60% in graduation and NIMCET rank under 100 than you are eligible for this course. The main motive of this program is learning new technology and growing future with highly paying jobs with multinational companies.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty of NITK is very good all facilities are PhD holder and their teaching method is very good with practical knowledge. All professors are master in computer science and provide excellent knowledge. Style of teaching is unique with practical knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, I was placed in Media Net company. More than 500 companies come in campus for interview selection and more than 95% students are selected in different companies. Companies provide full time job and internship program with stipend.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is very good and clean. 10 hostels available in campus you can join any hostel by yourself. All hostels have mess, water facilities, washroom, CCTV security, guard. and LAN cable facility for High Wi-Fi. Mess food is very good in each mess both veg and non-veg food options are available in different types of mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is also good. In college, campus has main building for all academic professor officers and each department has separate building. Central library is available in college campus. Medical building is available in campus, sport complex, shopping complex conference hall, swing pool, gaming space, etc also available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good and enjoying. Campus is very big nearby beach. College crowd is good and familiar. Many type of fests are conducted by college. MCA students conducts ignite fest one time in a year it is a technical fest.

    My experience at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is great. There are a lot of things to do in this institute. Other than academic work it provides lots of other opportunities and activities for the student such as sports, singing and many other things.     NITK Surathkal is one of the most precious institutes. After admission, I love it very much. Firstly, the infrastructure is superb. The academic structure is also very good and is upgrading day by day with this modern world. The fee structure is very affordable. One special factor is that it has its own private beach.     I am currently a 2nd year student in B.Tech EEE branch at NITK. So coming into this institute was never decided. The story begins with a student preparing for IIT did well in MAINS have CRL 7384 but then bored and messed up in ADVANCE and ends up with a bad rank. From the ADVANCE rank I was not able to get to a good IIT so decide going for NIT instead.     NITK is the second ranked NIT after NIT Trichy. Its teachers, alumni and students make it a college worth studying in.
